"Not on a workstation" - but ... on servers then?

did I miss something :-\
or
did you miss this post ... ?

The Cloud is about as rife with penetration options as Linda Lovelace's entourage ... But I'm guessing he's unaware that I only deal with business/commercial class networks.

I just had to let go of a 23-year-old Oldsmobile wagon, which I regret. Now the local farmer has it and will use it to haul produce out of the fields.

Sign of a good car!
big old Mercedes used be popular with the farmers in Ireland, I guess because of their sturdiness.

Thanks for the heads up

This one worked for me on Windows 8:

I have a pre-installed (OEM) Windows 8. The serial number is no longer accessible anywhere. (It's in the bios, but apparently even there it's hidden.)
I came across this little app (*not* a 'tiles' app - the word app is being stolen from us...)

I've always liked cars, but I've never loved one, till now...

Peugot 309 (SX)
25 years old in October
Only 45,000 miles driven
Looks like new inside and in very good nick outside

309_SX copy.jpg

Almost looks like anti-design, doesnt it !? I like that too :D
Corners really well.
Been driving around listening to 80's music with speakers that make FM sound like medium wave. It's not like being in a time warp, it's better - no idea why really...
(FWIW, the year this car was built, I was driving a Nissan something or other, and a 1970's Volvo.)

If you're really printing a *lot*, you could set up one of those IV style systems where you have the ink in bottles piped directly to the cartridges.

Try http://www.printerkn...ous-flow-systems.10/ for more info
I read a piece by Vic Laurie recently that printer's ink is about $3000 a gallon. May be better to pipe in crude oil?

well, that'll look after the black. All you need now is the other three :D

Does sound pretty scary :tellme:

Lyn Ulbricht comes across as very intelligent - I was trying to find a better interview, but the couple of others I found were much worse (and this one isn't great).

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: add filter row like ditto or ethervane
« Last post by tomos on July 24, 2014, 08:28 AM »
I'd love to see this implemented somehow, but yeah, how...

#1) a searchbox added to the quickpaste list would have this advantage:
if unsure if a clip still on the quickpaste list, open that, if it's not there, then Ctrl+F and search.

#2) OTOH, "a different hotkey that brought up a different small dialog window designed for quickly filtering and pasting" could work like FARR using the F keys or Ctrl+[number] to select/use a clip.
The initial dialogue could (maybe) list the current quickpaste list (?)

^ that (#2) does sound very nice to me...

All those folders on the left side look ugly as sin so far but there's actually some interesting ideas there,
e.g. the dynamic thumbnails - they keep the same height but have variable width:

(needs justified paragraph formatting to make it look classy though)

Viewing videos in Firefox through TOR Vidalia, the Adobe Flash plugin has been really crashy lately.

for a long time now, I've been having trouble with flash and firefox (no TOR involved).
Unfortunately Pale Moon + Flash is not hitting the spot either...

Edit// no blue screens with either but both bad enough to want me to move on to something else (have to think where to go to now...)

^spaces in folders are problematic - a solution is often to put the path in inverted commas e.g. using your one above
"C:\\Sports\\Detroit Tigers"
-
I have no idea though if that would work here...

I presume the C:\\Sports\\DetroitTigers\\hits didnt work because there should be a space in the Detroit Tigers folder (or did you create a new one without a space?)

The only time an item will change score, is if it is "found" in multiple ways -- because the different ways of finding things can trigger different bonuses.

I can't remember if there are other ways this can happen but the one time when this may happen is if an item is in your launch history, it will be scored first.  It will later be found again while doing a directory search, which may result in a different score.

maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying above, but the scoring is also related to the letters typed matching the entry in the list - mind you 1000 to 2000 points sounds very high scores compered to what I usually see on this machine (I havent messed around with the default settings much).

hi vis0,
to get a better chance of a response, I'd recommend:

  • having one suggestion/idea per thread
  • giving some info in the thread title about content (I know that one can be difficult)
  • giving more info (see below)

re your first idea ("an app to"):
you didnt explain the second part.
The example you give for the first part (dvd with video files) seems to me to be easily solved with a decent file manager - simply filter for video files.

In short, you can't fight Cthulhu. Cthulhu is the failure state. If Cthulhu appears, the game is over.

that's a killer then... I cant argue with that ;D

I guess my slant then is just that I dont subscribe to the idea of Cthulhu. I'm sure it does exist. I've been in bad shape at times in my life - but never like that, thankfully.
You could have fun in a game messing around with those ideas though :-\ but I suspect it would still upset the Cthulhu fans :P

I think I broke it :-[

I had created a template list and had duplicated it and renamed it.
Then I (unintentionally!) crashed sChecklist by resizing the list column after having resized the window.
When I restarted, the last created list was not shown, so I tried to recreate it - but wasnt allowed use the same name.
It is there in the Checklist folder but is not shown.
I restarted sChecklist again, and now the duplicated template which I could not rename - that doesnt show either - i.e. new lists are being created and saved, but they are not being remembered by the app.

Screenshot - 2014-07-22 , 11_57_09.png

OK
I think I fixed it again :)
I edited the dat file to include the list I wanted (tiffs in screenshot above) and deleted the other unwanted duplicate.
Now when I add a new list it is saved on close

That was awesome!
"Irony is not coincidence" <--- that one line just made my entire week.  Year.  Decade.  Do you know the frustration of trying to explain how Alanis Morrisette's catchy but !@#$%& WRONG song about irony is like, totally, absolutely wrong in it's definition of the word?

their idea of what constitutes a livestream is different from mine - they do have a 3+ hour video up there, but it's the same one today as yesterday...
but yeah, it's on YT, just a bit of fun really:
