SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- Wikipedia, the encyclopedia that relies on volunteers to pen nearly 4 million articles, is about as accurate in covering scientific topics as Encyclopedia Britannica, the journal Nature wrote in an online article published Wednesday.

Official Announcements / Re: Change to Official License Key Policy
« Last post by mouser on December 15, 2005, 02:26 AM »
a new optional page has been added to the license key generation section; for those people who are dead set against signing up at the forum for whatever reason, they can now generate shorter lasting (you have to return to the page to make new key every 30 days) anonymous license keys.  At least this is a viable option for people who aren't sure yet they want to sign up or are having trouble signing up, etc.

See it in action here -> https://www.donation...om/Keys/nosignup.php

your best bet might be to use a screencasting tool; we did a major review of them here:
https://www.donation...enCasting/index.html

these are normally used to make demo movie, but the advantage in your case would be that it would be ideal for playing back.  bb flashback has some nice things for adjusting speed and does a great job of low-bandwidth recording, so that might be your best bet. though its not free.

these tools will record exactly what keys user presses as well so you can see them interacting; and they will export movies so it seems to be they would be what you want.

a free similar tool is camstudio:  http://www.camstudio.org/

keep in mind that there are much better programs designed for making movies of the screen.

but to answer your question:
go to the "On Capture" tab in the preferences and set the auto capture timer details (rate: 1s, stop after 1800,type=screen).

then close settings and minimize the screenshot captor window.  now right click on the screenshot captor try icon and select "Engage Auto Capture Timer".   To stop it, go to the tray menu and disable.

i really do need to update the help file with all of the changes that have been added recently.

carol, rofl.
sounds more like a bubble convention to me.

to prevent, go to Clipboard Help+Spell options, capture options tab, and add the following to exclude list:
clip.exe
pv.exe
CloseMany.exe
ShowVer.exe

Official Announcements / Re: ANNOUNCING - DonationCoder.com Logo Contest
« Last post by mouser on December 14, 2005, 12:43 PM »
I suppose I should make an official announcement somewhere at least and say that Nudone's Bird is the new, official mascot of DonationCoder.com.

Thank you Nudone for giving us such a nice gift.  It's everything I had hoped for in a mascot/logo, and I think it somehow captures the helpful spirit of the site and is unique and memorable.  In a word, it's perfect.

i have to say it was quite enjoyable all the way through.

on the site there is also a simpler, much shorter game in the same spirit but with music throughout, and you might want to try that one, its the "quest for the rest" one: http://analogik.com/multimedia_quest.asp

very nice idea; i think i will add something like this to our "Clipboard Help and Spell" program on this site.

great question.

there are programs that will tell you the windows classes of other windows; often they have "spy" in their names, like windows "spy" or something.  i can't remember any off hand but if you can't find a good free one with google and no one else posts the link for one i'll look again.
