Site/Forum Features / New Newsletter Subsection of the Forum
« Last post by mouser on December 21, 2005, 04:26 AM »
We've started making the twice-monthly newsletters available online now, in their own special subsection of the forum.
That way they are archived and always available, and the email mailings will only contain a brief summary of the contents.

URL for the new Newsletter section:
https://www.donation...index.php?board=69.0

You can also subscribe to an RSS feed for the Newsletter section by using this url:

Find And Run Robot / Re: What's the correct abbreviation?
« Last post by mouser on December 21, 2005, 03:57 AM »
the real answer is, when naming programs, a lesson i wish i had learned earlier is: dont user the word AND in them, it only brings you trouble.  it's hard to search for and hard to abbreviate.

Dr.Windows / Re: Sorry, I don't approve
« Last post by mouser on December 20, 2005, 11:04 PM »
yeah, i hear ya..
this was a one time little joke app, it's not the kind of thing we'll be doing much of in the future.

the only real defense i have is that if this is the worst program someone uses to pull a prank on you, you probably got off easy.

i do hope though that no one uses this to aggravate others.

only use in close supervision of prank target so as to avoid any confusions!

ill have a fix this week; for now the work around is simply to fully exit the program from the tray and your settings will be saved; it's only the reboot or windows shutdown that is causing it to fail to save any setting changes.

im curious to see how the other ie based browsers react to ie7, and whether ms will make life harder for them.

yeah, im like hirudin as well.
i'm also in the category of people who does not like to be forwarded stuff.  my favorite thing is not getting an email from a relative telling me that that signed me up to some massive spam list because they though i might be interested in hearing daily offers for entering the new zealand lottery.

i vote for a separate write password (user could use same one if they didnt care);
only with a valid write only password would you be able to modify contents and change passwords.

« Last post by mouser on December 19, 2005, 04:33 PM »
good idea about page number on first page (a cover page can fix that too though, since cover page doesn't get numbered), and in the new version you can tell it to use first frame of movie as cover page btw.

one of the gifts:
Everyone wants an imaginary unicorn friend that they can call forth to smite their enemies. The Avenging Unicorn Play Set has everything you need to use the power of the unicorn to rid your life of irritations. Put the posable, 3-3/4" tall, hard vinyl unicorn on a flat surface and then impale one of three 3-1/8" tall, soft vinyl figures included (businessman/boss, new age lady and mime). Also includes four interchangeable horns (classic spiral, chrome, glow and pearlescent).
