Dr.Explain
An Amazing Automatic Documentation Authoring Tool

...

What if I told you that there's help authoring software that will write help documentation for you? That all you needed to do was to introduce this app to your software interface, and the app would automatically create topics that you could simply flesh out?

Dr. Explain is an automated help authoring tool that produces your choice of output formats - CHM, HTML, online manuals, and even printed documentation. Dr. Explain analyzes the structure of your software's screens and forms and automatically generates numbered annotations for each GUI element - every button, icon, field, menu, and toolbar.

As the help author, your job just got a lot easier. All you need to do is add the descriptive text to each annotation to explain each function. Dr. Explain condenses hours of work into just a few minutes!

-but what went wrong? Your video "stopped" for 1½ minute, (the video was still running but nothing was happening), before the printing. It took me approx 10 seconds to print the same (6) page(s) to pdf and open the file in a reader.

doPdf's end result is fine.

I have been struggling with RESTARTers... because I wanted a Restart button both above and below the browser window, and it wasn't possible. No matter what combinations I tried, the second button would always overwrite the first one, so I only had a single button. Finally I've manage to have them both at the same time: Some normal English button, like https://addons.mozil...start-firefox-10749/ , together with the (nice) Chinese button 再起動ボタン 0.1.5 will give you two Restart buttons.

Hotkey fans may want to use Alt+F + R

I don't believe any AntiVirus / Malware-Scanner ever will offer the option to "report false positives". The simple reason being the risk of evil software authors abusing the system. Instead I expect the normal procedure must be as it is today: "let us "extra-test" if your file is okay or not".

The couple of times that I have used this service, the response was given later on the same day, and on both occasions Agnitum updated their filter, to acknowledge the file in question.

My Optimus Maximus keyboard .... The rather unexpected but thrilling good news is, they didn't charge me a dime!!

-but UPS did! I feel it a little strange, but when I asked the UPS driver/delivery man about the cost, he said there was no bill. Well, he was right, he didn't say it was free, just that there was no bill - yet. But I mis-interpreted his words, thinking it would be free  as in free beer... Today the bill came, not from any tax office, but from UPS itself: $70. More than a dime, but still a fantastic bargain. I am most grateful.

@edbrop, Who is listed as Help > About... > License owner? I guess it is not your name? A third party name would make it difficult to upgrade the key, to you.

-discounted versions are more expensive to upgrade.

To be eligible for special upgrade prices, you need to own a previous version of a Zoner Software product.

To see the upgrade prices from other products and all your available options, please enter your licence code in the box below...

@tomos - regarding a photo organizer. I have never used any other program than Explorer itself, to manage my photos. But if I really had to use something, I would probably first test Zoner Pro 13. Three tabs: Folders, Catalogue, Favorites. I guess the Catalogue tab is the more important one for this:

But I don't use this myself, and I don't know the differences between Home and Pro.

Let me guess: They still can't see a reason to provide lifetime updates?
Yes. Bummer.

I paid $50 for Windows 3.1 sometime back in the 19th century. It is outrageous that Bill Gates asks me to pay again every time he breathes on Windows.

Why did he ask me to pay for 98, ME, XP, Vista, Win 7? He probably did the upgrades while eating lunch at McDonalds.

-michaelkenward (May 03, 2011, 04:20 PM)

I guess it was in the 20'th century, but other than that I know this feeling. My brother purchased a Volvo. Later on Volvo launched a new version of the model, and he wanted it, and guess what, he had to pay once more!

I guess I could list most of the programs that I have placed in Start... my little square brains are only capable of so much ;-) As an example, I have several screen capture programs, including Snagit 10, but I always end up using FastStone Capture, because it is so easy and simple to use.

http://www.faststone.../FSCaptureDetail.htm edited: $20 with lifetime license!

ByTheWay, it was just updated:
FastStone Capture Version 6.8 (April 26, 2011)

Improved the "Capture Scrolling Window" tool. Now it is compatible with the latest version of popular web browsers: Internet Explorer 9, FireFox 4, Chrome 10, Opera 11 and Safari 5.

Another example would be Flashnote (that I have pleaded for several times here at DC's forum). After several years I am still on my FIRST note!! because I want Flashnote to stay absolutely basic and simple. Hit the hotkey, Type/paste your text, and it is already saved!, and hit the hotkey (or Esc) again. End of story! ;-)

Regarding the thread's subject.
I think Renegade reacted well - I disapprove very much with pirating.

Nevertheless I am in theory willing to adopt a pirated version of an abandoned program that is no longer for sale.

------

I was just thinking about this the other day:
I'm not allowed to video record a concert of my favorite signed artists and post it, even if ...

I guess this problem is bigger in USA (and England) than elsewhere. The American music industry has made an enormous effort to make new laws created. The old law did of course not include digital copies, but was strictly for analogue media. All over the world we could enter a second-hand shop and purchase books, cassette tapes, or LPs, without anyone but the shop owner making money on the deal. Personally, I don't see any difference between a (one) low density YouTube music video or an (one) old LP - but the real difference is no longer the age or quality of the media, but the Internet. One copy is no longer one copy, but in theory a zillion copies. Tricky.
