Fenix, you may not have to complete your task at hand after all. I just received an email from Christian requesting my information. I went ahead and sent it on to him.
I too. fenix you were quite right about Tuesdays  :)

I just miss descript.ion file support.
Oh, I must have overlooked that point  ;D

I wonder how many people on here use them?  Might be interesting to see if anyone else holds up a hand.

I'm not qualified to speak about the donation bit, but what you've done sounds like a nice idea!
3004
I would, however, like to discuss with Don the uses of descript.ion files and let him know how I use them to keep track of things between programs and hopefully he'll reconsider adding the feature.
I'm sure you can make a good case. I use them too but I'm less ardent than you :)

First of all, I want this to be a neutral place to comment.
FWIW, it doesn't really read that way to me, seems a bit antagonistic, especially when comments are imported from elsewhere. It's probably my poor level of comprehension manifesting itself yet again. I often think that because we don't all share the same first language, and yet try to express ourselves in English, comments end up with a different tone from what was intended. The great thing about DC is the level of tolerance and civility that dominates.

Given the tireless routine of updates and improvements to XYplorer, it's a very good bet that if there are rough places soon they will be made plain.

To: Fenix

Well, I'll PM you my information and then I'm happy to wait until the end of the week to see what happens.
If you end up with everybody's information at the end of the week, and if nobody's had a key by then, perhaps you'd be kind enough to make a gentle overture to Mr Ghisler -- we certainly don't want to make ourselves a nuisance to someone who's been so generous. Nor do we want to annoy you, no matter how much fun that might be   ;)

Does that suit everyone?

What personal information? Maybe we should take the initiative and compile it and email it to him ourselves?
Standard key contains: first name, surname, postal code, city and country.
-fenixproductions (June 15, 2009, 05:56 PM)
Does one of us want to act as co-ordinator for collecting this, or shall we all email separately?
I'm pretty sure I didn't provide all of that.

Please, re-download standard version and check again. It should be fixed now.

No version change since it is one-liner.

P.S. Probably debug.zip contains not all needed files. I will check it if there's still a problem after silent update.
-fenixproductions (June 15, 2009, 05:53 PM)

This should do it.

Teracopy does this, as do various file managers.

Nice job with the preview!
Sorry to pour cold water on you but a couple of things  with the new version...

1)
On each new run of BBCed
Click on 'file open' icon
Click on a .bbc file (see preview )
Click cancel -- unhandled exception

2)
The open file dialogue doesn't seem to remember its size.

Any of the winners receive their license yet? Just want to make sure mine didn't get lost.
I had the same thought.
Not so far, in my case.

The problem is tz has not worked for me at all from the first installation.
I just tried different version and the same result. Nothing happens.
Sorry, I should have read back further in the thread.

right, it was probably just a matter of time then. i must have been lucky up until this point.
Glad to hear someone's lucky, I've been sending you upwards of 50 emails a day and never had a single response!

So did you substitute 1.17 for 1.8?
Because I've just had a look at the zip and it's 1.8 in there?
-Perry Mowbray (June 12, 2009, 06:40 PM)
Yes, I did, following some talk in other threads about the advisability of updating it in all (any of) its instances.

rogal, what happens if you stop FARR, then rename (or move) your existing TimeZone folder and then install TZ again from scratch before restarting FARR? If that works you can then copy your existing timezone.ini into the new installation.
3025
Perry,

I substituted fscript.dll 1.8.0.0 for 1.17.0.0 and all worked fine with TZ.
If I use fscript.dll 1.17.0.0 the problems with 'options' and 'redownload' persist.

So, for now, using the earlier fscript.dll does the job.

Presumably, therefore, these steps will fix up those having problems (since you're distributing fscript.dll v1.8.0.0):
  • Stop FARR
  • Delete or rename fscript.dll from the plugins\TimeZone folder
  • Update TimeZone
  • Start FARR
