I always liked FoxMail (http://www.softpedia...lients/Foxmail.shtml) better than all the other clients...but company rules here say that only thunderbird is allowed.

And as already discussed in another thread on DC....I am in the camp of "will not trust anything personal to any online storage method without a local copy!" so my gmail gets POPped as well".

This is a free SVN server that is really easy to set up (did it myself on Windows XP + SP2  )
Works ideal with TortoiseSVN (http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org)

As far as I remember, both tools are free to use.

Unfortunately I don't know nothing about Linux SVN client software, but doing a little Google-ing will turn up many results I assume.

Well, I use Outlook and Thunderbird, both for personal and business...so you can imagine the mess and huge amount of mail (even dating from 10 years back!).

Since I came to know about 'MailStore' the mess became untangled actually. It gives you a decent way to backup your messages (burning them on CD, burning software is included), gives you a lot more search options and is faster at delivering results than Outlook or Thunderbird themselves. It can even convert all your mail from one format to another.

(X)HTML-kit seems to fit your bill as well. Besides shortcuts, snippets etc you can write even your own modules for it. And a lot of people already did!
