Hmmmmm, my typos are usually way sneakier than that!!  They usually end up being a word in the dictionary.  The spelling checker doesn't flag 'em.
At least you check your spelling, rather than examining magical incantations.  :)

It doesn't work for me. Its indexer crashes.

Good fun!

The Rowan wasn't what I had in mind when I suggested that you bury the little fellow.

When I'm working at a computer, reading from the screen rather than from paper has a particular advantage for me.
It means that I can avoid changing eye-glasses.

I detest using multi-focals when on a computer, so reading from paper would be a constant round of:
Don eye-glasses 1
Look at screen
Remove eye-glasses 1
Don Eye-glasses 2
Look at paper
Remove eye-glasses 2
Repeat ad nauseam

it works if you press "down" first
I pressed down really hard on the numbers but...  ;)

The numeric keypad certainly works in the calculators now, but has stopped working to launch apps altogether!

Can anyone confirm this?

I confirm it. (Alt-numpad works.)

I use printers about half as much as I used to (I have 5 printers here of various types and formats).

Most of my printing is business related. The decrease is mainly because I now have larger screens than previously, and so can display simultaneously a greater number on-screen documents while working.

While it wasn't something i felt comfortable doing, john (the dc server admin) and wife is staying with me for a bit and he's a real hotshot with a soldering iron, and he managed to do the repair in under an hour.

Monitor now works as good as new.
Send him to stay with me!  ;)

You are a smart guy, Joto, finding ways to compensate without becoming embittered.

I'll try to remember your example the next time I find myself grumbling about something trivial.

what really surprised me is the "Eject" command for BlacX USB dock seems to do nothing.  Every time I tried it I got the "windows is unable yadda yadda..."  I'll have to try this utility with it to see what happens.
You'll be happy, it works fine with mine when using USB!  :)

Can you spell "smug"?  ;D

You're doing a great job here.
There's a lot of time, effort, and thought represented by this series.

Thank you very much!

Yes please. I'd like as much about aliases and variables as you can manage.
Imagine that you're talking to a child of, say, five years and I'll try to keep up.

Thank you kindly.
