Now run along and scam again another day.
This kind of remark (and others of yours) represent a discourtesy that is unwelcome here. If you cannot make a rational point without invective then it reflects poorly on you. I suspect that I might not be alone in this feeling, and ask you to think twice before making your responses in future. Alas, 'think before you type' never has been my own strong point, but it is a guiding principle that is worth bearing in mind.

There's a clock on the oven behind them, and you can see where they spliced the video because time keeps going back and forth.
Sure that's a clock and not a device for measuring the up time of 7?

I think alt.lang.asm might be worse
Well, sure, that would be bad. Consider the name of the group; how can you consider Assembly to be a language? I mean, it's really just a collection of mnemonics for machine language. Without any lexical analysis or grammar, how can you call it a language?
 :trout:
FWIW I sometimes feel that way about American English.  ;)
-40hz
Oh, it does have a limited grammar (and a bit less limited when you add macro support) - but you might argue that it's about as primitive as some of the programmers that use it ;)
Fair enough. Now, how do you feel about Assembly?

What I want to know is, seriously, what person high up at Microsoft is really a mole planted by Apple to destroy Microsoft? Or is it the entire company?
Hey, there are some useful tips in there for the socially inept... address your guests by name, for example.
Perhaps that's why those long bored board weekends of yours aren't overly crowded  ;)

Living Room / Re: Question About MS Word Lists & Tables
« Last post by cranioscopical on September 24, 2009, 07:09 AM »
Aha! Table>Autoformat did the trick, but...  only after I inserted a hard break after each line.

Using Find-Replace should be an easy way to change those pesky end of lines: (see attachment in previous post)

I'll try that. Thanks!

Jim
Not to encourage using a steam hammer to crack a walnut, but a tiny Word macro to replace breaks and then table/autoformat might alleviate the annoyance level. I don't use Word but if it has some kind of bookmark function to locate cursor position you should be able to coax it to paste and then make the selection for you as well. (Table/autoformat separates text with hard breaks into cells e.g. text editor, btw, so it depends on the source from which you copy.)

...or,

just paste in your text, select what you pasted and choose Table/Autoformat (2003)

Hi Perry,

You have begun a noble endeavour!

Here's a trifle:

Presumably, most who use this will have opted for default installations of Farr but...
I took a quick glance at the files before posting this but didn't immediately spot where I can modify the path.
The includes are in the AMPL folder but my copy of FARR isn't where AMPL thinks it is.

Think of this as entertainment  ;)

It's really F...Script. Guess what fits in ?

I assume it's neither U nor me.
Perhaps it's FlimScript.
Watch for its companion, FlamScript  ;)

Whatever it is, it certainly enables a lot of stuff, which I appreciate very much!
