Well... I'm not sure this is what you're referring to, but i used to use this program to acomplish what you're asking.
2752
Right, i forgot to mention that the reason i replied was because i also would love to see such thing, just never was able to find anything about it.
2753
Actually, i think there's a similar request in the forum.
Unfortunatelly, IIRC, there's no way to be able to have the game running on one screen and do something else on the other screen.

General Software Discussion / Re: roboform2go or sticky password?
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 05, 2007, 05:54 AM »
If you're looking for autotype, roboform is probably the way to go.
If you're only looking for a place to store your passwords and have basic autotype, keepass is a very good option. I've been using it for a while and i'm very happy with it!

You mean an app that would allow you to launch the contents of a directory randomly?

Living Room / Re: widescreen monitor question
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 03, 2007, 08:48 AM »
The correct widescreen res would be 1280:800, kyrathaba. Also, you should definitelly find yourself a better graphics adapter, the extra screen space makes a HUGE difference. Also, because lcds are prepared for a "native" resolution, anything different from that resolution (which in yourcase is 1440:900) will be an interlaced resolution and look bad.

Actually, it wasn't removed, only the link is wrong.

[warning: self-promotion :P]
I always use my gridmove to keep windows on top.
[end of self-promotion]

But if you'd like to keep it absolutelly simple, just use the following code:

F10::
WinSet,AlwaysOnTop,Toggle,A
return

Just copy it to notepad, save as something.ahk, download and install autohotkey and run the script :)
(btw.. the only thing that script does is toggling the OnTop state of a window when you press F10)

maybe de-URL the link at the top if you keep it
Very good point

General Software Discussion / Re: limiting memory
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 28, 2007, 07:14 AM »
Well.. Even if such program existed, what would happen would be that you wouldn't be able to use the program you mentioned, since it'd run out of memory and give a "out of memory" error, i suppose.
So, no real use for such thing.
Or am i wrong?  :-[

Carol Haynes: just set msn polygamy on a-patch and then launch msn more than once. the second time you launch it, you can use a different ID.

Find And Run Robot / [request] Drag and Drop
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 26, 2007, 04:35 AM »
I'm not sure about this, as i think i recall you (mouser) saying something about D&D not working with this form, but i'll just request it anyways.

I've just found about windows' D&D behaviour (ctrl-drag = copy, Shift+drag = move and ctrl+Shift+drag = make shortcut) and i'd like to use this with farr.
Being able to move/copy/shortcut files around by finding the folder with farr and then dropping the files on to it would be just perfect :)

Is this feasable?

I like the search of open Firefox tabs of Enso. This should be useful for me in FARR. :)
FARR's plugins!
'nuff said :)

Good idea, mmdoogie! Having 2 hotkeys allows the program to work even when the person has more than 2 screens, good point ;)
I guess i'll have to give it a go when i have my second monitor

Find And Run Robot / Re: Bugs or Inconsistencies in FARR v2.00.55
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 24, 2007, 04:12 AM »
I'll report here another problem too.
Ctrl-Space isn't bringing farr up anymore. So, if i focus another window which makes farr become non-visible, pressing ctrl-space won't bring it up. I have to minimize the apps to get to it.

Skrommel's Software / Re: Noise
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 24, 2007, 04:10 AM »
Then it was supposed to work.
The thing is: noise only makes simulated keypresses. This is fine for windows' default screensaver, it won't be activated. But programs that look for real keypresses will still make the screensaver start, that's why i was asking.
Not sure what's happening to you, then.

« Last post by jgpaiva on February 24, 2007, 04:08 AM »
NOTE: do not close the program with any windows hidden as they will still be running, but permanently hidden.
You could avoid that problem by adding a OnExit label ;)

Skrommel's Software / Re: Noise
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 23, 2007, 06:43 PM »
On my computer, when i have noise running, the screensaver won't come up, as noise effectivelly simmulates keypresses.
Are you sure you don't have any script launching the screensaver, instead of windows itself?

Very well done, Bryan!
That's an amazing amount of work there, and you making them available for free is just fantastic.
It's definitelly good for DC to be bale to have this kind of material.
As for adding voice, my response would be "no", unless the voice you add is strictly (or at least mostly) reading the text on screen. I say this because it's way easier to understand written english then spoken english for us non-native english speakers. On the other hand, having voice would allow the person to be doing stuff without looking at the screencast, only through the voice instructions.
I'd also recommend you add a timebar, so that people can skip back and forward more easly.
