hahah, wow Curt, I didn't even know about that! :)

Anyway, I was just messing around with it, try double clicking on it and you get a menu.
I don't know what those settings in your screen shot do though, I checked and unchecked them and it's a mystery to me so far.

Regarding the original topic, Quizo released a 1.9.1 version today.

This is Codesector though. Good luck getting any support from them.

General Software Discussion / Quizo's At It Again: Breadcrumbs Address Bar
« Last post by Nighted on June 02, 2007, 10:05 AM »
Quizo has released a new addition to his list of cool freeware.

QT Address Bar let's you add an address bar with more functionality than the standard of XP.

Of course, you will need .NET 2.0.

*Later that day...* I can't seem to scroll in the dropdown menus...if you try it, let me know if you have the same problem. Maybe it's just not finished....

You can do this with QT TabBar. (I'm referring to what you mentioned in the first post)

I don't have this problem, I just use something other than the middle button.

I may not be totally sure what it is you want, but you could give Stickies a try. It has a feature that lets you attach notes to a specific window, so they appear only when that window is opened.

Brett...strange, that's a bit fishy for sure. Would be interesting if you post back anything you find out. Maybe the software found a new developer?

I have no problems with Winamp. If you replace the default mp3 decoder in Winamp with the MAD plugin the sound improvement is incredible. however, you may not notice this on a cheap set of computer speakers.

The only reason Winamp would scroll aimlessly through its playlist is if the path to the files has been altered in some way or the files moved.

Calimanjaro looks interesting.

Find And Run Robot / Re: Configuring wordweb to search from FARR
« Last post by Nighted on May 15, 2007, 11:16 PM »
WordWeb isn't very portable unless you have wweb32.dll installed on the host machine. Too bad you find this out only after having tried the portable install on a machine without this library.  >:(

It does work if you copy this into the directory of the portable install. However, this is very odd considering this SHOULD be done automatically by the installer when choosing the portable install in the first place!!!!!!

Actually it is just what he wanted. Install Image Zoom 0.3, restart - then go to about:config and type in imagezoom. Locate "imagezoom.autofitlargeimage" and make it true, doubleclick. Restart. Test page/image I tried previously does not break anything. Default is manual autofit, right-left click - dont know why this setting in hidden.

Yeah, I always wondered about that too. This should be in the options. I'll try sending the author this thread.

He has labeled it as shareware before only to revert it back to "free for personal use" within hours of the initial release. Maybe it's a mistake. *edit: ok, I looked at the site, looks like it's serious this time (who knows).

Anyway, it doesn't matter. No one actually uses anything other than Screenshot Captor, so it's basically moot. ;)

Whoops, that's the version I intended to link to. Thanks for pointing that out.

Living Room / Any eBay Selling Experience Here?
« Last post by Nighted on May 13, 2007, 05:56 PM »
I've decided to move to Europe. I have many things I unfortunately can not bring; furniture, gym equipment, tools, etc. I've decided to try and sell them.

Does anyone here have any tips or experiences they could pass on to me for eBay? I've decided to give it a try for the first time.

Curt, you can change the size of the thumbnails in XP by editing the registry.

You can also do it using Tweak UI or ThumbTweak.

People who like to compose things in an editor and then paste into their browser before sending may be interested in It's All Text. Of course, you'll need Firefox (but most of you probably are using that by now anyway). I'm not sure if there's something similar for IE.

Wow! That's the most useful software Norton has ever released!

You may also be interested in CrossLoop.

It's basically a simple front end for TightVNC which allows you to control another computer by entering a code given by the remote user. It's very easy to use. No MSN account needed.

The features in SharedView do sound very interesting and unique in comparison though. I think I will take a look at it. :)
