A single doubt

I observed three hotkeys I don't manage

In my keyboard I obtain # by the combination AltGr+3 (from the alfaphetical-numerical number zone)

But when I use Control+AltGr+3 I obtain only # and is proposed as Launch and stay open FARR

See the screenshot

That should be easy enough to do in autohotkey, and one of the autohotkey people will surely report how to do it.

I'll just mention that if you use my Find and Run Robot, you can configure a hotkey that tells FARR to copy the text under the clipboard and then launch farr with that text in the search window.  From there you could hit enter to open or launch the file (if the text under the clipboard was a file) or hit enter to launch a url, or let FARR do a search for whatever text is under clipboard.  In this way FARR might be a more general solution to what you are interested in.

Note, by default FARR as an example hotkey that almost does this -- just select some text under cursor and hit Ctrl+Break.  The difference is that this default hotkey example adds the word "search " prior to launching with the text under cursor, and so is useful for performing web searches for the text.

Nice indeed. I haven't understand completely, excuse me, but I can learn.

I will comment

I think this must be easy.

Suppose you have a path in a txt file

Y:\contro\con1  you want to open

I would like a hotkey to open the path from the txt file or any other similar situation

And also for an executable path

By example

Y:\contro\con1\contro.exe

using the default program for that purpose assigned by the system.

something free like
TikTokToDo

If you can live with fixed 25 minute as opposed to variable time intervals, there's a well-established approach called the Pomodoro Technique that might work for you. FWIW, there's supposedly a "scientific reason for choosing a 25-minute task interval - but I don't know if there was ever any serious validation of that claim.

Read all about it here.

I mention Pomodoro because there's already a ton of software for Pomodoro enthusiasts since Pomodoro was quite the "thing" a few years back. It's even available for smartphones last I looked.

Find some here. A quick Google or Bing will find you many more.

Luck! :)

General Software Discussion / Software for sequential tasks

I am looking for a software to do this :

30/30 is a timer app that helps you get stuff done!

You set up a list of tasks, and a length of time for each of them. When you start the timer, it will tell you when to move on to the next task.

That’s it!

The main screen is completely free of buttons; you use gestures instead.

The display is minimal but attractive and it still shows you everything you need to know:
- What am I supposed to be doing right now?
- How much time do I have left to do it?

30/30 is always free! Enjoy!

but for windows

Do you know anyone ?

Best Regards

I have several thumbs.db . Three or four and then is problematic because the program don't know which one must remain.....
So don't rename until that problem is solved.
So I go to the folder and deleted the innecesary ones.
But the program don't refresh , so I have to close first, and open after.....

Simply perfect.
I have a little problema with this
thumbs.db.lnk
thumbs.db.lnk.lnk
and so on
and also a couple of pdf with .lnk extension and the the same file name.

The program don't let execute the renaming while double renaming exists.
And is possible to rename manually until certain point, but is not possible delete files from inside the program window.

But works very well.

Regular expressions ? a pending subject to learn because I think is difficult to memorize things you don't apply everyday....

I use a splendid program to create automatically shortcuts of the files selected from one folder to another.
Each month I close the month copying the links to a new folder.

But this month I observed that each month the extension is larger because the new one use a double, triple,..... lnk extension

I would like a simple utility to depure this behaviour and convert

name.lnk.lnk....lnk (n times ) into name.lnk

ClipTrap adopted

I have bad memory :

see first attach

I used this program in february 2012 under xp. For problems with memory (now I have 16 GB under 7) i can't afford but put in eventually use.

see second attach

The program have progressed a lot from february. Now have more options and buttons I must investigate.

My first doubt is about the version. In february I have an exe Unicode. And now is ANSI. Can I delete the unicode exe ?

Best Regards

Join Clips

I would like a Windows utility that enhances the Windows clipboard in a special way: it will put together all text fragments that I have copied to clipboard and will save them in a single txt file. Every time I make a "copy to clipboard" operation, the previous text in clipboard is lost. With this utility I would like prevent this behavior allowing me to keep all text fragments I ever copied to clipboard.

I usually use Ditto. Any additional feature is welcome.

Best Regards
