that's a great page that app found, i wish i had known about it earlier.
actually i am using metal shelf brackets:
[ Invalid Attachment ]

i'll see how they hold up under heavy loads and if necessary i am prepared to add side supports to help support.

hi concept -- i remember you've had some lbc issues before.. i can't help but think somewhere its using up too many icon resources.  did you try the trick about using the maintenance tools to remove some of the duplicate+unneeded icons in your file?  (ps make sure you backup first just in case!)

don't hesitate to email me again and i can try to figure out what is going on ([email protected]).

stephen -- welcome to the site, nice to have another woodworker here.  soon we will have enough to have some good furniture building discussions :)

see the above discussions to see that it was always known the spans were much too long to go without support/sagging.  it was always intended that i would put middle supports of some form.. just have to decide exactly what i want those supports to look like.

You could have simple slot in pieces of wood (to match the trim) to act a bit like mobile bookends - then you could make a variety of sizes and just slot them in between books etc. as required.

yep.

there are some good tools for this i know, i'm just not remembering the names currently - chs could probably do it but not ideally.. it's tempting to think about adding stuff that would make it easy to do though..

id be interested in hearing a dream list of features for a specialized tag-helper tool..

carol, there is absolutely no doubt that the spans are *much* too big to support a row of books as they stand.  softwood cant support more than 3ft or so and this is almost 6ft.

the shelves now have a 1x2 trim piece in front (not shown) which adds a little stiffness, but not enough.

i have 3 basic options:
1) double up each shelf (this is an aesthetically reasonable possibility since the 1x2 trim in front is tall enough to make 2 shelves look like one; ill post a picture later).
2) add a middle support upright piece of wood between each shelf (like i did on the bottom).
3) add a middle support upright metal rod between each shelf.

not sure yet which i shall choose.

speaking with very little knowledge of hardware, but some general experience.  save your money and wait until you can upgrade to a whole new pc.
26795
i know the problem.
you dont have to uninstall older version BUT you do have to exit it from tray.

i really need to make that automatic, its very confusing i know.
so just exit farr from tray and then install.

A special thanks to carl who took over every step of the donation process this month, from contacting companies, to updating dc web pages, to running the prize simulator, posting results, and even updating every past discount post to reflect current status.  It's a lot of work and he deserves a big round of applause.

no need to double.
yes path length is limited but it's pretty long.. so i doubt that's the problem.
