Hi Chris.
Thanks for listening to my suggestions!
However, I am having trouble using the program effectively. The main key combos that make sense for one handed combos (for me, the left hand) are typically used by other programs to do things too, so for example if I am on a webpage when I try to scrub the text, those ___-V combos seem to bring up the "element blocker" addon for AdBlock, and when I switch over to Open Office Calc, then they seem to pull in "Paste Special".
I'd prefer if there was some kind of "autodetect and scrub" mode, so that let's say I copy a web link with control-c like normal, it "magically" comes out normal text with a control-V paste without extra key strokes (which to me feels a bit like a keyboard version of dance dance revolution!)

Also, the per-scrub box also feels too aggressive, because then it's too annoying to test out! My preferred "limit-ware" method is a *per-session*, and make it quasi generous! For example, just for discussion, 14 sessions (not calendar days!) does one of two things. First the user might accidentally burn a couple sessions per day opening and closing it, or because he (or she or it! hehe) had to reboot, or just turned it back on. Now, if it rockets to become a favorite program, those sessions will go pretty quick. But don't make it like "only five", because at least for me I get turned away when a program feels too aggressive trying to reel in the pay conversion.
In fact, I really like the "Fremium" model best, because I think the modern way to market these little widgets is "mind share". You want that program being used at the free-lower level, because then it's building mindshare. But don't super-cripple it to the point of unusability at the free level! Instead, for me the conceptual perfect middle is simple basics are there at the free level, but then some kind of Oh-Wow feature is in the Paid version that makes your jaw drop.
My signature example I'll quote is that Tree-DB Notes program I use. It works fine all by itself at the free level as an organizer. But the Paid version has a really good exporter (that won the category competition for me when I surveyed 20 of these programs last year!), that takes your entire tree of notes and exports it into a web book.
So for example, it sits there being cute little Scrubby at the free level, but then maybe it can do batch page processing at the Paid level. Take a look at this month's short stories from the SciFi webzine I am involved with:
http://www.aphelion-...sections/shorts.htmlOne big ongoing project I am into is making author's indexes for that webzine. This involves a lot of copying and pasting (but scrubbing!) those story titles because the web link formatting wants to carry over into Open Office Calc. Far better would be to have Scrubby grab all those links and save out a scrubbed list! (Bonus for grabbing the next line down, and sticking that next to the story title!)
So then instead of copy-paste all day, I just batch process the page. THAT's worth $6.50 for me!
