Find And Run Robot / Re: Underline matched characters

it's a fun idea but maybe a bit difficult for me to implement given the current display components i use.. let's come back to this after the next release.

i've never been a fan of freehand capture..
i just say take a full screen cap and then crop once it's in the program, freehand or otherwise.

ps. I believe this is the first time (inexplicably) that donationcoder has been mentioned in PC Magazine, which makes it all the more exciting.

I have a LOT of fixes+features to add in the next release which should be this month.. Remembering print settings will be one of the ones i try to get done -- I agree it's important.

inline attachments are working fine, your jpg file is not an image.. it's a web page -- looks like you saved it incorrectly.

Living Room / Re: International fame for DonationCoder?
« Last post by mouser on April 01, 2008, 01:58 AM »
I can now reveal that Cody himself was knighted "sir bird" by prince Charles.  The ceremony took place in the austere environs of Buckingham Palace.

A minor international flap occured when after being knighted, Cody proceeded to rob the place of a massive collection of British coin pound coins. I understand the coin is his favorite coin in the world, treasured for its wonderful feel in the hand or beak.

Unfortunately our beloved Cody is now on the run from the law.

I am requesting that all loyal DC members prepare a nest and place it in a shaded area of your yard or apartment (leave window open) for Cody to hide out in.

Find And Run Robot / Re: Yet another focus-related feature
« Last post by mouser on April 01, 2008, 01:53 AM »
I will check this, but what FARR *should* be doing is hiding and then launching the url in browser, which should allow the browser to get focus.  But it's possible that I somehow changed this recently by accident.

well done for finding the option that makes it work for you.. it's not entirely clear to me why this happens to some people.

« Last post by mouser on March 31, 2008, 01:42 PM »
No way to do that currently.  You mean just use FARR as a hotkey program to execute something without even needing to become visible, right?  It could be easily added though it seems like something best left to a proper hotkey utility.

This is adult-themed, moderately NSFW (near nudity).
Nothing wrong with it, but please remember to say so when posting links for those who care.

Count me in the group of people who find the box show images appealing..
It may simply be that having a 3d-looking representation of something makes it more concrete and thus easier to work with mentally.

ASP seems like a really good resource for anyone in the shareware business, and the historical documents were well worth joining initially for me.

But while I think the shareware community is a great thing and deserves support, I don't feel like I quite fit into it, and actually DC is my one real community online, so I guess I just figured I'll focus all my energy here.

Living Room / Re: We need to do something about Skrommel.. but what?
« Last post by mouser on March 31, 2008, 03:28 AM »
Skrommel doesn't seem very interested in money.. He has several hundreds of dollars of credits built up that he shows very little interest in.  That's one of the reasons I think we need to figure out something non-monetary and special to get him.

However, I like the idea of paying for his transport to a DC gathering, so let's definitely say that anytime skrommel is willing to attend a DC gathering, DC should foot the airfare bill.

i would have said same thing as Darwin, but oldfart's comments are worth considering..
just open up your pc and take some pics of any connection from the power supply to the motherboard and any strange devices and post them and we can tell you for sure.

personally it seems highly unlikely to me that they would be using proprietary power connections.
