when in html view mode, escape would put the cursor in the search box
as of last release this does not work anymore, however if you click inside the html view, escape works as expected

i don't get it.. when does escape not put you back in search box?

I think it would still be worth considering to add something like /OPTIONS="bli blah bloh" where the options string would be passed to the EFuncName_Allow_ProcessTrigger function somehow to be used by the plugin.

i think this is a really good idea.  i think it actually could be done with current code by doing like:
Results: dosearch c:\blah\config files\$$1*.xml +OPENWITH=notepad.exe

and then have a plugin look at the search string for +OPENWITH= when it comes time to decide whether it wants to take over launching of a file.

to be clearer: plugins have the ability to take over the launching of each file instead of having farr launch it.  and farr will ignore modifiers like +OPENWITH=blahblah.  so you just need a plugin that decides to look for +OPENWITH and takeover those launches.

i think i might see a clue as to what causes this but i really need to be able to reproduce it in order to fix.. anyone hae any clue how to make the error occur on my pc? any clues about how i might reproduce it? does it happen even if you keep going to google.com or just heavier sites? etc.

I must have been mistaken about it ever working, since the web browser component has no code to detect such buttons.
Nevertheless i was able to add code to detect and simulate the mouse buttons so this works now; will be in next release uploaded tonight.

i agree completely.. im not sure when they stopped working since they worked at one point in my coding, but i will try to fix it. it should be simple.  i may have broken it during intercepting of the Escape key.

im also hoping to eventually get it so you can use some navigation stuff from the edit box without ever switching to html panel, like pgup,pgdn,wheel scroll.  (id like to get wheel scrolling working in memo view too).

nod5 that time one is a great one for demoing the new feature, very cool.

we need to make an alias pack, complete with icons, for all of these htmlview things.

by the way using the showhtml command it should be possible to create aliases that use their own self-containted html and javascript to do some of this stuff and not even need a connection to the web.

this was sort of a feature request, but a lot of people dont seem to be happy with the new behavior.
i'm modifying it so that if you hit a hotkey and FARR doesn't have focus it will still set the hotkey text, UNLESS the hotkey search text for the hotkey is blank, in which case it will just refocus FARR and *not* clear the searchtext.

One of the new plugin features that will be coming very soon will be the ability to specify a custom right-click context menu for items displayed.  That would make it easier to do things like show menu items to open printer etc.

Ok i can confirm that the problem is that FARR thinks the entries are "duplicates" and is rejecting them.
Technically this happens because the plist results are returned as file and the filename for each entry is the same.

I've modified FARR to only do dupe checking with files, but the plist plugin needs to be rebuilt to return results saying that the return type is something other than a file (E_EntryType_UNKNOWN would be good).

I could actually work around this but it would be a little inefficient so i'll wait for a plist update.
