It is quite simple to fix those associations, but i must say it's not right that the program broke all of those.
Also, i've already broke a few things by doing what steeladept mentioned. It's not that what he said isn't incorrect, it is. But if you don't do things the right way, you can get drawn in a sea of trouble.

Personally, i'd go for the "open with" method, and i'd never use any software from PCF. (Although it's pretty good that they took the time to explain how to get things right again )

JGPaiva's GridMove and Ahk Tools / Re: GridMove - grids here
« Last post by jgpaiva on September 06, 2007, 10:26 AM »
eric: that's unbelievable.
Probably, it's THE most complex grid ever done for gridmove.
I haven't tried it with my 2 screens, but i definitelly will!

I somehow am finding a lot of numbers overlapping each other on those middle areas. Is it supposed to be like this, or did i screw up something on the latest GridMove build?

Post New Requests Here / Re: IDEA: drag window to edge automatically resizes it

I've now uploaded a new version that hopefully has better font rendering (thanks lanux!!).

@dzr: i've attached to this post a very simple grid.
Tweaking it is simple, just edit it with notepad and change the numbers (currently on 0.15) to some other value (from 0 to 1). That controls the size of the empty space left on the right and left of the grid. The bigger the number, the bigger the margin.

Just checking in to thank you lanux for this beautiful peace of software!
I found some interesting stuff there that i'm going to use on gridmove, specially stuff related to font rendering (which currently sucks in gridmove!)

Thanks a lot!

The Getting Organized Experiment of 2006 / Re: Getting Organized in 2007
« Last post by jgpaiva on September 05, 2007, 03:26 PM »
I also am in.

Last year, i developed a system that lasted for a while during the experiment and then just ended up forgotten/ignored because, i believe, i was just generating way more tasks than i could really acomplish.
What i hope from this experiment is to see other people's methods and maybe redefine mine. With the new knowledge aquired in the previous experiment, i hope i won't do the same mistakes, and maybe (don't think so), get a system as good as mouser's! :P

As for the task, currently it isn't started yet, but it'll be one of my school projects (which starts next week).

I see your problem, ralf. It could be fixed by modifying NoClose for your situation, but since that's not my software, let's see if skrommel answers. If he doesn't, please just bump this thread again and i'll mod if for you.

General Software Discussion / Re: powerful search for files program
« Last post by jgpaiva on September 04, 2007, 08:25 PM »
I guess any program that supports regular expressions search would do...

A regular expression for that would be:

(string1)|(string2)|(string3)

Ok, now it works. I changed in the "browser widget" section under advanced, the action of "enter" from "activate element | open link" to "open link" :)

Thanks dirhael!

The problem probably was that i installed this version over the previous version and my custom keyboard shortcuts were not updated or something.
2314
Hmm... I think you didn't understand my problem. At least, the fix you mentioned doesn't work.
I also tried adding enter=open link in the browser section, but that only made "enter" open the link under the cursor and not the link selected :(
2315
The video is this one, dirhael.

About the enter thing, the checkbox is there, but unfortunatelly, it doesn't fix my problem :(
2316
I like the new way it scrolls with pageup/down.
I've seen reports about it being faster, but as i already found it very fast before, i can't see any difference.

It does have an anoyance, though. Before, i could search for links with the keyboard ("," + keyword) and then press enter to open the link. Now, when i press enter, nothing happens :(

Oh, and also doesn't work with some flash players similar to youtube. (it does work with youtube)

You should send that screenshot to the author, so that he knows it's possible to finish the game with only tacks ;)

Find And Run Robot / Re: Suggestion: add command to Deactivate Digit Keys
« Last post by jgpaiva on August 22, 2007, 04:47 PM »
Currently, you can write "k\9" (the numbers must be escaped).
There's also an option to toggle that behaviour. Check it under options -> interface -> digit keys launch results (...)

The reason to use the registry/Documents and Settings is for several apps to share data.
Here's an example:
Programs that wish to register with mouser's DCupdater make an entry in Documents and Settings, in a folder that is monitored by DCupdater.

Just an asside: If you'd like to go linux in a while probably nvidia would get you into less problems than ATI. (although i also prefer ATI ;) )

I can comment on the screen, since i have the previous version (205BW).
I love it  :-* :-* :)
But a friend of mine told me that they are now releasing some with a panel that has an inferior quality, you should pay attention to that.

I also recomend the idea of having 4GB of ram. If i bought a desktop computer, that's what i'd do.

Post New Requests Here / Re: IDEA: Replace mouse click with a key press
« Last post by jgpaiva on August 21, 2007, 07:43 AM »
I've attached to this post a script with incomplete capabilities.
It works as expected, but can't define keys like "shift", "ctrl" or "alt" to mouse clicks.
To do so, just edit the .ini file that is created after the first launch, and change the "Hotkey" key.
(to have just ctrl, type in "ctrl", to have shift, type "shift", to have "alt", type "alt", to have windows key, type "lwin" or "rwin").

To change the hotkey, delete the .ini file and restart the script.

« Last post by jgpaiva on August 21, 2007, 04:54 AM »
Thanks jgp. I replaced 'Ctrl' with 'Fn', but it doesn't work. How to modify the script to use 'Fn' as the hotkey?
I think there's no way for autohotkey to detect fn, sorry :(

Better yet, if it has a small dialog in which it asks us to pick the hotkey and detects when I press one or a combination of keys.
That should be easy, i'll do it in a few hours ;)
