I've wanted to ask for a long time - this seems like the right place:
why do you always spell out a number and then have the digit in brackets?
... three (3) ...

-yeah, barney, why do you do that? Me thinks that is odd (2ℤ+1)!

-did you pick that marque, by inspiration from Steve McQueen?

One of my brothers drove Triumph Bonneville 650. My mother would close her eyes and start praying, every time she saw him take off.

I've found this works well:
BDlot DVD ISO Master

I don't know if BDLot are maintaining their programs, but they surely aren't maintaining their site
- or maybe they merely confused Seasonal with SeasonAll:

, you can use the good old DVD Shrink.

Shrink is okay, but I was upset to see that the following line was presented as part of the articles text - it truly is an advert, even one I dislike:

Before you download! Click here to optimize your system performance and have it ready for DVD Shrink!

-he never asked for decent sound, merely softer, so of course the answer is Yes!

They call it "booming bass", but luckily you can adjust the settings.
Demo: http://www.srslabs.c...essentials/demo.html -scroll down and click [with/without] SRS.
There are several versions, including apps for smartphones, but nothing free.

The last three years Cav was riding with a team that specialised in getting him into the right position to win the sprints

For those who don't know, "Cav" is Mark Cavendish:

a couple of people have said that Screen Calipers had difficulties on 64-bit Win 7. One said he solved the problem, by installing new video drivers.

For the record: I have Screen -Calipers -Compass -Protractor and -Shapes, on 64-bit Win 7, with no problems. All purchased on offers.

Notice that the key normally is a lifetime key (I upgraded from version 3 to version 4 for free), but I wonder if this fine giveaway also includes a lifetime key.

Living Room / bicycling suddenly a British speciality?!
« Last post by Curt on July 22, 2012, 01:31 PM »
Congratulations, U.K., on Bradley Wiggins' winning the Tour de France 2012, and, even over the hill, Christopher Froome being number 2! Fantastic! Does Brits think the Manx is part of England? If so, they must think Mark Cavendish made the British triumph total.

However, England has only lately taken interest in bicycling-racing, so...
forgive me for thinking it, and now even saying it out loud:
I smell a doped rat - and it is speaking English!

FF 15.0 also sends google searches via https.
I have been using the EFF's HTTPS Everywhere (FF and Chrome/Chromium) for a while now

-I didn't understand this. As far as I know, https is only possible if the site's author has enabled it. So, if a site wants to be malicious, it would of course not support https in the first place. Then what is the point of this "https almost everywhere" feature?
Feel free to explain Https for dummies, please :tellme:

Free PDF Compressor - CNET Download.com

-Google > I'm feeling lucky

-remember to only use "Direct Download Link" (288kb):

2012-07-18_004813.gif

Genuine portable; no installer.
Tested on 64-bit Win 7.

Edited:
oh, the first compressed pdf file was old enough, the second one was too new.
Okay, this program is crap! Don't bother to test it, unless your pdf files are really old!
-and it can only compress one file at a time.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that, to some extent, the price may reflect the sophistication of the design and the technology in use.

-I hope you're right, IainB, because if I press Ctrl+Alt+PrtScr, FastStone Capture will create an accurate screenshot of the entire page, and offer me to merely click Save as Pdf - and I have a much better looking copy than any virtual pdf printer ever will give me - at a fraction of the price.
