In January 2009 this thread became embroiled over some complaints made against Nagarsoft and Direct Access by another company about whether ideas were being copied from other programs..

very cool idea and great progress...
It's not quite working right here.. as i type "tray" i get 2 items shown in the results, and no more.  which two seem to be random (actually the first one is FARR but the other is random).
I dont see any icons for the items.
The clicking simulations dont seem to work.
Note that i am on winxp64 which could be causing some of the issues, but the fact that it is definitely finding them and listing 2 randomly suggests to me that that isnt it.

i suspect it has something to do with the new on-top preservation code i've written -- if i can track it down i can fix it easily.

if you can get it to happen reliably on your other pc, i might ask you to preserve those files and settings so i can test my fix :)

To expound on the issue:

There are two different ways that plugins can get triggered, one is by matching a plugin specified keyword on the left hand side of string.  The other is by matching a regex pattern supplied by the plugin.

The former should be used whenever appropriate since it allows FARR to be smarter about subsequent filtering;  regex should only be used when a plugin has a more advanced pattern to match.

its possible that farr is running under one user in one case, and under another user in the other case.. therefore there are 2 sets of settings files.

first tell me how far along you got configuring it --
do you basically have the images showing, but just you have a dif image on each screen, or something like that?

if you've gotten that far, then the best way to do what you want is go into the image cell page and choose a minimul image cell width = something close to your full combined width of all your monitors.

i know you might be thinking there should be a simpler way -- i think what i need to do is add some wizards to let you choose between several different kinds of setups.

note that once its loaded, moving around and clicking dont cause server load, so that wouldnt help the server, though it might make it easier to see things..  maybe a compromise would be to change the pin for clicked user to green.

i don't think it's anything messed up about your system -- it sounds like whats happenin is that LBC is losing its "ontop" status and thus showing up "under" firefox.

what version of LBC do you have?

create a folder somewhere
make windows shortcuts in that folder that point to all the control panel special objects
make a node in LBC that shows the contents of this folder
