Here you go.  I just put the words you want to fade in in separate text boxes and told them to fade in on click.

I'm not sure exactly how much you want to spend, but the Zune 120 might be a possibility.  It's priced around $240 USD.  It has a rated battery life of approximately 30 hours, however your mileage may vary.  I have one of the old Zune 30s, and I love it.  I also pay for the Zune Pass, so I always have tons of music to access for a single monthly fee.

Found Deals and Discounts / EDraw Max on Giveawayoftheday (8/19/08)
« Last post by cthorpe on August 19, 2008, 09:45 PM »
EDraw Max is the offering on Giveaway of the Day today (8/19/08).

EDraw.gif

It appears to be the flagship program offered by the devs of EDraw Flowchart which was recommended by Veign and a few others for flowcharting and other similar tasks:

http://www.veign.com...edraw-flowchart.html

Program's website: http://www.edrawsoft.com/EDrawMax.php

Once again, it's free at http://giveawayoftheday.com on August 19, 2008.

And for those who are wary of installing from giveawayoftheday for whatever reason, download the zip file from giveawayoftheday and look in the readme.txt file for the registration info, and then download the trial from the developer's website.  Then just register it like normal.

I have a HP 1320 that does a great job.  The elementary school I used to work at had one of these for the Math Lab.  It worked flawlessly for the 2 years I was there.  During that time, it printed 500+ pages per week with no problems whatsoever.  So when I decided to go laser at home, it was the obvious choice.  I've been running it at home for about a year and a half with no problems at all.  Ink is cheap if you invest in the larger size refill.

I have 4 computers in the house.

Desktop PC is running Vista Home Premium SP1
Wife's laptop runs XP Media Center
My laptop from work runs OS X Leopard
My old PC is running Ubuntu Server 8.04

Of those, I prefer the desktop PC by a large margin.  My least favorite is the Mac.

All this is going to do is force ISPs to explicitly state that they shape P2P traffic.  Once they put that in some fine print somewhere, they will resume doing it.

Desert puns aside... I do think there is something to this campaign.  I know a lot of people who bash Vista without ever having used it or seen it.  Heck, I used to do it without ever spending any time with the OS.  I was sure that it was a resource hog, slow, prone to crashes, DRMed, insecure, mean to children and puppies, annoying, bloated, uncompatible with all pre-existing hardware and software, offensive to old people, and a downgrade from XP.  I recently bought a new computer, and I'll admit that I was concerned about Vista coming pre-installed.  I even downgraded to XP shortly after getting the PC.  Once SP1 came out, however, I decided to give Vista another chance.  I had more crashes and problems under XP than I do under Vista now.  It is my OS of choice.  I'm not too proud to say that I was wrong.

I would guess that someone will tell the topic creator to look at some program with the word magic in the name.

My guess is that you can use either the upgrade discount or the DC discount, but not both.  I'll verify with Scooter Software.

Living Room / Weird websites
« Last post by cthorpe on July 29, 2008, 12:59 AM »
What are some of the weird websites you have found while surfing?

Here is one that is all about wrapping Roy Orbison in Cling Wrap: http://www.michaelke...fsnet.co.uk/karl.htm

From the site:
Some person sent me a story about Tom Petty in clingfilm and I deleted it. I do not get that, I try to be broad-minded but who would possibly want to wrap Tom Petty in clingfilm? There are strange people in the world.

Warning... the last link on that site is NSFW
