I'd just add that rjbull's original comment about the cost of the upgrade to Boxer Editor 14 seemed to me to be more along the line that for him "$29 is a lot of money to pay to get a single feature", and not that it's an outrageous sum for an upgrade. He's no longer using it and I presume has found an alternative with which he is happy.-Darwin (March 04, 2010, 04:06 PM)
$29 upgrade price is a pittance.-AndyM (March 04, 2010, 10:29 AM)
... we're pleased to announce Boxer 14, which adds dozens of new features to the editor you already use and enjoy:
VISUAL WRAP - also known as word wrap - is a passive display mode that wraps long lines to the window width, or to another user-defined margin. This makes it easier to work with files that have just one newline at the end of each paragraph. The new Soften Line Enders command can be applied to a text file which has unwanted line enders, thereby making the file "flowable" and eligible for Visual Wrap. The Harden Line Enders command does the opposite: it converts soft line enders to hard line enders, effectively "locking" the current on-screen formatting into the file.
USER-DEFINED TOOLBAR ICONS - it's now possible to assign user-defined icons in BMP or ICO format to any of the commands that reside on the toolbar. A collection of 64 sample icons is provided, and you're free to use others you can find or create. Some users may wish to assign distinct icons to any User Tools or Macros they've placed on the toolbar, which would otherwise share the same icon.
XML FORMATTING - This new feature can be used to apply and remove formatting from XHTML and other XML-compliant text files. If you've ever opened an XML file and seen one long, flowing line extend off the right edge of the screen, you'll appreciate this new feature. Format XML adds newlines and indentation intelligently to any XML-compliant file to create a neatly formatted document. Options are provided to control the amount of indent, whether to indent with spaces or tabs, when and whether text and tags should be wrapped, when to suppress newlines, and other formatting nuances.
EFFICIENT LINE NUMBER DISPLAY - Boxer will display its on-screen line numbers using the minimum number of columns possible, expanding and contracting the line number margin automatically if the file's line count grows or shrinks.
... and many more. See the full list here:

Please note that Boxer 14 is fully compatible with Windows 7.

nuance has nice layout features and powerful editing features. But I wouldn't use it for my viewer.-superboyac (March 01, 2010, 12:38 PM)
I hope that my previous post answered your question. If no, please describe what do you mean by "Favourite Path drop-down as well as path Browse".-Cashper (February 27, 2010, 05:12 PM)
You can invoke a right-click menu by the "Application" keyboard key (resides between Ctrl and Alt keys on my keyboard).-Cashper (February 27, 2010, 04:39 PM)
What user-defined options should be available in your opinion?ChoiceEditor works like an extension-sensitive context menu. You configure your own choices. In my case, for example, if I have Total Commander's cursor on a .txt file and press F4, I get a menu like the first screenshot. On the other hand, if the cursor is on a PDF file, I get a menu like the second screen shot. Some items appear on both menus because I configured them to be available for any extension, "*"
I'm not sure about what do you mean by "send plain filename". But MultiFind Pro already adds several useful command to context menu: "Open File name" and "Copy file name".
"drop-down history list", and regexp helper are already in my TODO list.-Cashper (February 15, 2010, 04:02 PM)

i sort of got into using mind maps many years ago after reading a few books by Tony Buzan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Buzan.I did an evening class recently. The tutor seemed keen on mind maps, but it's something I'd never done because I was borne too soon-nudone (October 16, 2006, 10:27 AM)
after creating a few i didn't find it helped a great deal. That's rather what I was concerned about.
like brotherS, i didn't find that they changed my life - though, Tony Buzan gave me the impression that they would. You're English, so (if you're old enough) you'll probably know what I mean when remind you of Mandy Rice-Davies' famous rejoinder...
Start - Control Panel - Windows FirewallOK, thanks, done that now - but, Windows Firewall was turned OFF, because I was using Online-Armor. I think OA's default is to turn Windows Firewall OFF when it's on itself, and to turn Windows Firewall back on if OA is turned off. No Internet access change, and as Windows Firewall was off wasn't really expecting one, unless I need to reboot. Getting late (for me) so I'll return to the struggle tomorrow (actually, it's BE tomorrow local time in ten minutes, but I meant a bit longer than that...).-Josh (February 23, 2010, 05:36 PM)
