Wow! You definetly went way above and beyond...even expanding past what I asked for (I tried to keep it as simple as possible and figured I would try to tweak it later on).....I can follow your instructions and can even see how I could adapt them for my movies folder to do a similar job.

Right on.  I'm glad you found it useful.

The only thing I might have issues with is if I use copy I still need to clean up the from dir at some point.

Of course.  I just suggested that until you got your feet wet with what File Punter can do.

One question.....if I only wanted to get the files that are 24 hours old or more how would I go about that...obviously the program itself isn't going to do it unless there is a regex to check for date modified.

Unless there is date information in the text string you're matching, you're pretty much on your own in this regard.

I wonder would it work if the from and to were the same directory just to organize the files?

I would highly recommend against using the same folder for source and destiation.

I'll assume you have a dedicated download folder of some sort.  Given that, I'd have two additional folders dedicated to being a source and a destination.  Then, I'd process them like this:

  • Move some files from your download folder into the source folder.
  • Run your File Punter routines.
  • Double-check your destination folder for accuracy.
  • Manually merge the destination folder contents with your final storage area (file server, etc.)

Sorry if I asked something obvious and thanks again for your patience and willingness to share knowledge.

You're welcome.  I'm glad to help.

BTW, you might want to check out TheRenamer.  IMHO, it's the best TV show renamer out there.  I use it myself.  It also does movies, but I don't use it for that.  Anyway, you might find it easier to use than File Punter for your needs.

See if this screencast helps to explain things a bit:

I'm going to work on this screencast right now.  Stay tuned.

I'll make you a screencast.   :)

RegEx can be daunting, for sure, so I'm happy to help with some examples to get you started.  Just say the word...   :)

Holler if you need help.   ;)

The RegEx capabilities in my File Punter app could probably accomplish what you want.

Right, it should be a random selection.

Nice review.  Thanks for the heads up.

Process exclusion is there, for sure.  At least, in the latest version I tested, it was.

Agreed, in my experience, too.  I keep both installed, though.

Hi, guerillablood, and welcome to the DonationCoder site.   :)

I'll certainly consider your requests, thank you.  Unfortunately, due to some work commitments, I don't think I'll be able to get to them for at least a few weeks.  In the meantime, you might consider checking out John's Background Switcher, which is probably the most full-featured wall switcher out there.

Thank you very much for your kind words (and donation), ramothgold.  I really appreciate both.   :D

Stay tuned for the upcoming profiles feature which allows you to have different lists of shows.  I've also added the air time and network to the listviews.  Here's a few more teaser screenshots:

Hi, struggler, and welcome to the DonationCoder site.

Unfortunately, the GIF support that Frameless has is handled by an old third-party DLL so there isn't a whole lot I can do about how it displays your GIF files.   :(

Any reason you're considering that when there are a few freeware tools that do the same?  I've used both of these successfully:

Rufus
Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool

Thank, Skwire.
Version 1.1.3 working fine.

Good to hear.  Thank you.

I have one sugestion: Favorite series tab, next to Series tab? or: Wached tab and unwatched tab.

As I mentioned previously, I have been rolling around in my head a sort of "profiles" type of functionality where you could save/load specific lists of shows.  In other words, you could make several lists to cover your needs: watching, watched, cancelled, etc.  I wasn't thinking additional tabs...more like a drop-down where you could select which profile to view.  I have started work on this but no ETA at this time.  Here's a teaser screenshot:

Anyway, epCheck is part of my collection, and wish you many good ideas. Maybe ''MoviesCheck'' from IMDB...  :)

 :D

I replaced the 2014-01-15 epcheck.exe version by the 2014-02-04 version..
then I added a new series: Burn notice and refreshed Castle (2009)
both gave the same unzip error, does that help?

Both those series load fine for me.  Are you running epCheck under an Administrator account?

Good piece of software...

Thanks, elbooker, and welcome to the DonationCoder site.

But, since version 1.1.0.37 I found bug... Try ''500 nations'' series, and I can't see episodes. I think that bug is because that is no air date in culumn ''air date''. Also, in new version 1.1.1 some banner images is not downloaded in my local folder. When I try manualy to put banners image from site, epCheck delete all pictures on new automatic refresh.

Thank for the bug reports.  I believe I have both of these fixed in the latest version (1.1.3).  Please download, test, and let me know.   :)
