Ah!  Always great to see tranglos developing new software. One of the best!

agreed -- we are lucky to have kidnapped him first so we get to see his creations.

An ability not to update the FileSize in the pad_file

i dont pay the slightest attention to filesize in my pad files -- i just make up numbers.  it's too hard to keep updated and no one seems to care.

It's really amazing how much extra work is required to get a program that you wrote for yourself, or as a prototype, into a state where it is suitable for release to the public.

I probably have a dozen such apps -- some small, some large, most of which i've thought of finishing up and polishing off and releasing but just can't get the energy to do.  Now in fairness most of these are incomplete and just not worth finishing.  But some are fully functional and just are too specialized and hard to use, such that releasing them would just cause frustration from people who tried to use them :)

Please help us get out the word about the NANY2011 wrap up!  Especially to other sites that have readers who might care.

The best url to use when telling people about it is: https://www.donationcoder.com/nany2011

And the best thing you could do is just tell them in your own words why it's a cool thing they might want to tell people about.

Can you add an option to automatically place the cursor on the filter, with the filter option enabled and if possible with certain column already selected?

Maybe cleanest solution is to allow ctrl+F to put cursor in search box and enable the filter (and maybe ctrl+F again to toggle it off).
I like the ALL COLUMNS idea; and it could remember the last column selected in the filter.

Other than perry, what makes NANY work is the group of coders who hang out at DC, who embrace these kinds of events and projects.  It's always a bit scary when we announce these things -- worrying that people won't participate.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone who took the time to jion in and release something.  It makes the site a fun place to hang out and it feels like a family gathering and a fun a party in here.

Hooray!!!!

Please everyone if you have some donationcredits in your account, send a few out to some of the NANY participants (and PERRY too!), and let them know you appreciate their work.

The truth is, NANY could not happen if not for Perry Mowbray -- he is the one who keeps everyone going, and who makes sure everything happens on time.  On behalf of everyone at DC, thank you again Perry.

NOTE: I think this link will show you all NANY participants in one page to donate to.

Thank you Perry for taking such good care of NANY this year!  It was really fun this year

ecaradec was a bit late but he did get fscript2 up:
https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=25155.0

closing this thread so we can discuss fscript 2 there.
14668
I'm not sure how it could work within the current FARR plugin system although, loading several times the same DLL would not create different plugins in memory. Each API call would then need to be modified to add some context (the hostptr probably) to know which plugin it refers too.

ah i see, i knew it was too simple an idea.

ok i will start helping to test fscript2.

we have done dc surveys in the past that were fun..

actually i think we need to do a new fundraiser in the next couple of months, perhaps we can accompany that with another survey, and start brainstorming about questions we should ask now.  and then we need to get a volunteer who is willing to "analyze" the survey results and come up with some usless, wild, and unscientific conclusions about them.
