Reviving a dead thread here with a new question, and this one I don't *think* is possible. Worth a shot anyways, though.

I have been scanning the AHK site (using the search, reading everything I can, trying everything I can imagine) for info on how to add a graphic into a button. I have seen it done (maybe not in AHK, but I don't see why not), and after a week of searching I haven't found anything. Any ideas (or knowledge that I am lacking bad enough that after searching for a week I still can't find anything :-[)?

I don't get into HTML much (or BBCode at all) but you may want to try Nvu http://www.nvu.com/index.php I use it and it seems to have a lot of advanced features, I just don't get into them. Might have what you have been missing. :-\

Ok, I'll see what I'll see what I can do about S P A C E. :P
1380
OK, well due to lack of things to do, I am going over the code AGAIN, because I simply have nothing to do...
I have fixed another spelling error, and I expect to find 1 or 2 more. I won't upload it just yet, though.

I did a spell check on the code, and read it as I went along, and no problems at all :D Hooray!!! :P

@Brandon - you keep bringing out new updates before I get a chance to try it out ...

Nothing new really, as long as you have the tabbed version, you have the latest "major" update. I update things as fast as I can, as the side effects of that one bad situation (wrong program, wrong time, something else interferes...) could be devastating. Nothing that bad has been found, though (as long as nothing else is running) :)

I did it with an old Gateway desktop (used to be primary computer)- don't do it ;D
The dust bunnies have long, sharp, gouging teeth :P

Yea, if you were going to freely distribute them you could start up a topic in the Announce your Software/Service/Product section, and just upload them individually (You can't use the Quick Reply to upload, though) or zip them and upload em. I don't think that, like you said, most browsers have support for those formats.
1385
I would assume that you could, as lots of people here at DC seem to do graphics work. Not my dept. but I (personally) really wouldn't see why not. Hopefully mouser will pop in here and shed some light on it.
1386
OK, here it is; the fixes aren't exciting, but will definitely improve the experience. All that was updated was the timing on AutoMaintenance and NTREGOPT wouldn't open at the right time (large problem :tellme:). I scanned the code again, and (knock on wood) I didn't see any problems. I have DelEmpty included and ready, just waiting for permission to include it. (Next update, probably).

Enjoy! (Uninstall first, though!)
1387
Ok, how is it? I was really hoping to have it all up and running in one large swooping update, but little bumps are to be expected, I guess.

Looking for opinions, and suggestions. I am waiting for skrommel to reply to me about my question about including DelEmpty, but I am going to go ahead and add it in a second file, so if it is OK then I will have the work already done :)

Ideas on how to include DCUppdate? I really would like to, but I fear that the dial-up users will start to hate me with more downloading ;D Any ideas? :-\ :tellme:

EDIT: OK, 1 bug found and fixed, and 2 things optimized for better flowing between operations :). I will have a new version up tomorrow, if all goes to plan.
1388
OK, here it is- complete with splash loading screen, icon, new interface, installer, and a lot more. I have looked over it and it appears to be working properly, but as of now I'll call it a RC until everything is verified.
Enough talk! More download! :)

EDIT: I found a bug! I spelled something wrong! :o Fixing now... :)

EDIT 2: All fixed, and Windows Defender functionality added & tested. If you were the 1 person who downloaded the previous version, please UNINSTALL before you install the new version (VERY important)!

Enjoy!

No, I use the AHK shutdown command, not Window's built-in shutdown.exe program. However, I don't think Process Explorer will have the time to react before it shuts down, as it gives no warning (other then telling you) unlike the "shutdown.exe -s -t 30" command. I don't use Process Explorer, but if you can, you may want to have it ignore the program so it doesn't have problems (just in case).

Yea, my vacation is a bit...strange. A mile from the ocean and I am sitting in front of my laptop, typing away. ;D Thats me, I guess. :P
But I am working on testing the program now- there were lots of small bugs, but it looks like it is working exactly like it should. I tested the AutoMaintenance w/shutdown at the end last night, and it works perfectly. The links are all good, and the instructions are clearer. Hopefully I will be able to test it all out and have it up tomorrow or the day after.

P.S.:
1) I am most likely adding automatic Windows Defender functionality, also- so you won't have to use the web-based service (although, IMO, Windows Defender is mediocre/poor in comparison).

2) The updating for Microsoft products/Windows is in there, too, as well as the ability to launch Apple Software Update and the FileHippo Update Checker, so the updating feature has NOT been lost. :)

EDIT: I am testing this on my Windows XP SP2 fully updated machine, and will test it on my Windows Vista fully updated machine in about 9 days when I get back home. Vista users may see problems, but I *highly* doubt it.
1391
OK, it looks like I have the program complete (I am almost certain, but there is a reasonable amount of doubt). I am going to go ahead and put it up here- it works the exact same way as AutoMaintenance, but simplified. You can now just clean (CCleaner, CleanUp, Eusing only) or just optimize (Advanced WindowsCare, IObit SmartDefrag, NTREGOPT only), run the all automatic programs (and do a reboot OR shutdown at the end), just turn off/reboot your computer (no maintenance), open Control Panel, Task Manager, run a check of your hard drive, scan for viruses/spyware/adware/malware/etc, protect your computer from viruses and spyware, and more. And I packed it all into one program. Now just to get a good looking icon, and I can put it up here for download...

EDIT:
I forgot to automate the install of Advanced WindowsCare, IObit SmartDefrag and NTREGOPT; I am working on that now.

OK, looking for opinions!

Problem:
I am on vacation (see above) and don't have my **** script for AutoMaintenance.
Solution?

Yes, I am doing it. Yes, it is a pain. And, yes, it SHOULD be available soon.

For the curious, screenshots are attached of my personal beta build. Enjoy!

Type: exe
Size: 200kb
Status: Beta

Ok, yea I see my hotkey problem, and the nohide was in my to-do list, but I am going to test out w975's script that uses the .ini file, see how that works. Haven't done it before, I am assuming it creates the file in %A_WorkingDir% automatically?

> Gui, Submit,nohide

I think the GUI should hide?????????????????
Just go to all field and fill in your text
and press 'Apply' at the last field only ?!
I don't want the GUI to hide, but that is going to be fixed. And no, Apply must be hit on every window, so I need variables for each window.

Ok, while I am skimming through I see a couple things that I think will work, and to answer the repeated question...
v is for variable, so vf2 is for Variable of Function (Key) 2
I have learned from experience to TEST before doing the WHOLE thing...as it can be a pain in the behind if all your things are wrong because you entered the wrong word, or put that comma in one bad spot, or that ! was really a keystroke... :-[ ;D

I am going to go ahead and try basically every idea here, and will reply soon if one works, and will add credit as needed in the top area of the script (at the little ; )
Thanks for the help/ideas!!!!!

rjbull: Of course, what I really want is my current things to continue operating.  My home-computing time is limited, and I resent having to waste it on maintenance, anti-malware and anti-spam tasks.
This may help out, it's somewhat snail-friendly. https://www.donation...=8345.0;attach=20033. Get that and you won't have to be at the computer to take care of the computer. :)

General Software Discussion / Re: Maxthon 2 Released

I have been testing Maxthon 2's beta releases, and today got the final, and it is a huge step up. I may swap from Firefox to Maxthon, as I really like it now. :)

No one browser owns my computer, though (yet...)
