General Software Discussion / Facebook exploit Fail!
« Last post by lanux128 on May 30, 2010, 08:34 AM »
this was pointed out to me by a friend with Facebook. apparently there is an FB group that posts exploits regarding user login but to report a group in general, you are presented a selection of choices but none that says 'exploits/hack'. they don't even have 'Others' as a reason, maybe they think of themselves as infallible.. :P

Post New Requests Here / Re: Compare 2 files and list differences...
« Last post by lanux128 on May 30, 2010, 08:02 AM »
I might just point out that the above poster, liuxin4335, has just joined the forum and has posted four messages, all promoting Compare++.  I don't know whether this person has a connection to the software, but he has gone to the trouble of finding some old threads just to push this app.

i too posed the question to him here.

Compare++ is another select. It support comparing text pasted from the clipboard

all your posts have been about Compare++, are you affiliated with this product? if so, you can announce the product here or you're just a fan, you can write a review about it here.

works well just as an MD5 checksum should.. btw, do you have any plans to include SHA1 as well?

also here are the config screens for Totalcmd and Salamander.

in 'Random' play mode, is it possible to go back to the previous track via the "previous" button? it doesn't do that on my PC..

...and no.  Pessimistic start to the day, huh?

too bad but that's how it goes.. ;D

there's a review on Game Tunnel and TIGSource, but both reviews don't reveal much about game-play or story. i'm not sure about the game but considering the game is $5 normally for both episodes plus further episodes are free, this offer is a good reason to support an indie developer.

iirc this has been asked previously but i don't think there is a way to move it out. you'll have to copy and paste the text. :)

Gabe Newell the boss-man of Valve claimed in a recent interview that "the Mac is 5 times more stable than windows running games." you can listen to the podcast here. it also has video and text-transcript at the same location. Valve/Steam must be trying to win over the Mac crowd. :)

thanks Lanux.  I looked at post when I was searching dc for help on this.  but I missed the connection between teh attach=# and the attachment box below that.

you're welcome. :) another helpful tool when you're writing a mini-review is a BBCode editor such as this one: BBCeditor.

Apparently, wordwrap has been asked for for years, but not added.
...
It's funny how the lack of one little feature can diminish the value of a great program greatly
-HankFriedman (May 26, 2010, 05:39 PM)

it seems that wordwrap is a feature that often lags behind other options in an editor. though in my case it was a non-HTML editor - PSPad, which had some problems with word-wrap until the dev fixed it much much later. i'm sure there are others with similar problem..
