is this the same as sigverif?

Verify Unsigned Device Drivers

Click Start, click Run, type sigverif, and then click OK.
    Click Advanced.
Click Look for other files that are not digitally signed.

In the Look in this folder box, type x:\Windows\system32\drivers, where x is the letter of the drive where Windows is installed.
On the Logging tab, make sure the Save the file signature verification results to a log file check box is selected, and then click OK.
    Click Start.

NOTE: The log file is named Sigverif.txt, and it is saved in the Windows folder. Third-party drivers that are unsigned are displayed as "Not signed." Use the drivers in this list as your troubleshooting starting point.

The article was about XP, but I can confirm that I have sigverif on Win 7 as well.

Buckyballs settled their lawsuit months ago. And news of Magnicube's settlement comes today. They're both out of the fight.
-Zen Magnets
2014-08-05_102920.jpg
We're at a critical crossroads between two options.

Behind Door #1: Shutdown & Stop-sales.
This makes the most sense from a business perspective. We exit the business as soon as possible with as much as possible, at the recommendation of nearly every lawyer and consultant we've talked to. We comply. We recall. The unique "Warnings don't work" argument goes unchallenged in court. Nobody else stands in the way of the magnet ban rule-making. The CPSC sets the precedent of dodging the most public objection the agency has ever received for any single action item. The CPSC wins it's gamble.

Behind Door #2: All-In for the Conscience.
Fight. Because how others treat you is their Karma, but how you react is your Karma. Because the beauty and wonder that magnets generate is worth a rescue effort. Magnet spheres work exactly as they are supposed to, and nearly everybody (over 99.99%) is able to use them safely. Statistical polls show consumers would rather see a ban of tobacco, than an all-ages nation-wide non-consensual market removal of magnet sets used for art and education. We can sleep without regret, knowing that as the last company standing, Zen Magnets fought for what was right: democracy, reason, liberty, and beautiful shiny magnets.

Nothing rational lies in between these two options, as costs and cortisol levels only go up from here on.

2014-08-05_104259.jpg

Take this as official notice that Zen Magnets LLC is going All-in, and taking "Door #2" as described. We will not settle for any sort of stop-sale of magnets that are perfectly safe when not misused. The hearing is set for December, and we will see that this influential case goes to trial.

We vow to continue this legal, awareness, and lobbying battle, until our very last drop of cash-flow blood. We will combat the CPSC's magnet prohibition until triumph, or until a glorious death of insolvency on the legal battlefield. At the very least, we'll have one more holiday season of availability.

Magnets must be respected, but need not be feared.

What a lack of effort. The director is of course not a nincompoop, I hope, so maybe he is a stranger to computers, the Internet, YouTube and such? I mean, the movie he has uploaded is merely 320x240 pixels - I will not watch 81 minutes in such a microscopic format - and the dialogue is all in Dutch and not subtitled!

Who is he uploading for?

I have a number of userscripts in Firefox and noticed that when I went to update all add-ons they was taking 3-4 minutes to update. Turns out it is because userscripts.org site is down and has been down for days. Checking around on the web I found information that the site is officially dead. I've had to change the update url in all my scripts to "about:blank" and now the add-ons update quickly again.

I have removed the old version and installed this up-to-date (July 2014) Roboto font from Google's page http://www.google.co...ml#typography-roboto

Roboto

Since the Ice Cream Sandwich release, Roboto has been the standard typeface for Android. In this version, Roboto has been refined extensively to work across the wider set of supported platforms. It is slightly wider and rounder, giving it greater clarity and making it more optimistic.

Thank you, Ed, for giving the right link for Android users. However, it is not my impression that these fonts will do well in a textual document on a large desktop monitor - they look so awful here, that I already am planing to remove them again.

Also Thank You for writing when push comes to shove; I can't remember ever reading that phrase before!

when push comes to shove
English Phrase
(idiomatic) When the pressure is on; when the situation is critical or urgent; when the time has come for action, even if it is difficult
-wiktionary

Normally I hate Google. Mainly because I quite often will want the oldest version  (= the original version) of a file, and Google refuses to look for it. But the Internet includes so many misquotes, and falsified pictures, or stolen material, and if the oldest file not is available, how will we ever know that we are not being lied to? Google is in some areas doing far more bad, than good. Oops! I did it again! Sorry for going astray. I like these fonts, but something about them is not yet perfect.

New York Magazine has an article by a Kevin Roose, named "Google Is Designing the Font of the Future". It's quite interesting, but too long to merely copy & paste - so you will have to go yourself to read it:

Google Is Designing the Font of the Future.
It's called "Roboto," and it works on everything.

General Software Discussion / Re: Readability and Reading List
« Last post by Curt on July 17, 2014, 02:10 AM »
A Readability page is meant to be printed, or virtually printed = saved as a PDF file => so you should click "Print", not "Save", and print to .pdf!

I am and have been using Readability for some years. Yes, it doesn't always save the pictures, but then I save the picture separately, and in my PDF editor I simply insert a new page with the missing pictures. But as you said, this is a frustrating waste of time.

By the way: The reason pictures are not always saved is, that Readability itself has determined that they are adverts or otherwise not related to the article. So, it is not a javascript error, but the article itself that was not designed in a way Readability could fully understand.

you could test the free version of iMetaSearch. I use the pro version, because it was on offer..., but right now it isn't. It hasn't been updated since April last year, and who knows if it ever will be. There is a fine user manual and an instructive video to make it easy to begin using the program. I think you might benefit from the way this program works:

I know nothing about Atlantis or Abiword's abilities, but I do remember that Word 2003 gave excellent output, when biblical texts were uploaded directly via the Word's .DOC files. And because .RTF is much simpler, I trust you will be satisfied with your Atlantis publishing directly from Rich Text > HTML.

I agree with you, Steven, that RTF is the more suitable format. However, my experience is that some RTF editors have features not supported by all RTF readers. But it is more important to be understood than to include fancy features, so I almost always use WordPad Write - because  it cannot write many features, but it can read most. So when other people are opening my RTF documents they will never answer that they couldn't read all of it (except of course if they don't have the relevant fonts). WordPad has changed its file name and location several times, on my Win 7 it is C:\Windows\System32\write.exe

I don't want the program, so I won't test it, but it would be interesting to see if it still works on a modern system, after 11 years without updating. I guess "XP-mode" should make it possible?
