about:config settings are saved into prefs.js, you can save the relevant info as user.js and use it to customize your Firefox settings. though, in your case, keyconfig extension must be in the prefs.js since the add-on doesn't recognize user.js.

A chiseled titan playing an everyman? C'mon! Arnold Schwarzenegger was certainly miscast in Total Recall. Nevertheless, the depthlessness of his performance hardly matters once he starts flailing and freaking out in the Rekall machine.

my thinking was, use the File menu if you want the print dialog.. use the quick toolbar button if you want a quick immediate printout.

Microsoft uses this line of logic in the Office suite. the button on the toolbar is essentially a quick print button based on the settings used the previous time. to make any changes, one have to go to the File>Print menu item.

iaza - this is a free service that aims "to make the conversion and manipulation of digital images as easy as possible". the options are divided into 3 main categories (but uses 4 columns): Convert & Enhance, Edit and Create and within that. there are a myriad of sub-options which can searched using the browser's Ctrl+F function. what makes it cool is that each step of editing/manipulating can be saved by right-clicking on the image and just use the browser's back to undo any changes.

i just tried out a few images and things couldn't be easier. i used an image i found online, to crop, add a transparency layer, and finally convert into png. the results are quite impressive even though it's missing a "Convert To ICO" option. so, if you're in a hurry, you can give this online tool a spin.

@lanux128 - For the preference not being stored, I'll have to look into that. Unfortunately, I have about a weeks worth of work to do before I can get to that (because whenever I revisit a project, I end up doing 10x more than I set out to do). I'll see if I can "take a break" from my other software tasks and get it done earlier though.

i have another feature request for T4: auto-insert clipboard contents when launching for the 1st time or toggling into view after being hidden.

I'm not sure that will really have much additional value. There's hotkey for Paste (CTRL + ALT + V), so if you're using the keyboard to control it, the extra step isn't much. I'd have to add in another menu item there, which I'm reluctant to do right now. Do you really think it would be that useful?

hmm.. since you put it that way, i guess i can just press <hotkey sequence> + S(how) then <hotkey sequence> + P(aste).

btw, i changed the <hotkey sequence> to ALT + WIN in both normal and compact mode but upon restarting, it always reverts to CTRL + ALT.
