I regularly get an error (see screenshot) if I have LBC open for a few days (I hibernate my PC at night) and make a change to LBC.
In order to get the screenshot for this email, this morning I enabled and then disabled an existing node, clicked save and then clicked 'X' to close the window and I got the error.
In order to overcome this, I kill LBC in Task Manager and then re-launch it and all is well in the world.

Hi Mouser,
It seems you have fixed it - thanks. Just an observation though, the install says version 3.00.01 but the about box only says version 3.00.00.
Just some feedback on capturing a scrolling window. I tried it on Lotus Notes window which needed horizontal and vertical scrolling and it overlapped quite a bit, I then tried it on Microsoft Word 2003. I created a table with the contents Line 1, Line 2, Line 3... and while the document had 49 lines per visible page, it captured the first page multiple times but never got past line 49 (it went up as far as 127). I have attached the captured image.
Maybe it is how I am using it!
Let me know if I can be of anymore help as I am a huge fan of SSC.

I may have discovered a possible bug in the beta version. Since I installed v 3.00.00 I have discovered an anomaly.
If I have SSC open in the background and not minimised to the system tray and I try to do a screenshot of a selected region on Lotus Notes 7 from either a keyboard shortcut or via the SSC system tray menu, I get a blend of Lotus Notes and what appears to be SSC. I have attached some screenshots to show you what I mean (I have had to blur some parts of the image).

Hi,
If I have an image and I select it completely and I apply a border I can see the border perfectly. However, if I select the entire image again (after the border has been applied) and then paste this into another package the border is lost.
The border properties are Transparency: 200, Shape: Square, No shadow, Border Colour Red, Line Width: 2.00 and no inner colour, Blend Mode: Multiply.
If I use the option 'Expand Canvas to Fit Objects' and then copy and paste it to another application it shows the bottom and righthand side border but not the top or left border.
Is this a bug or am I using the software incorrectly, I am using v2.102.01.

Getting sites unblocked from work requires management approval. I believe it will only be a local unblock of the site and it won't impact other sites/customers of Websense. I'll see what I can do.

When I try to download Screenshot Captor from work I get this message:
"The Websense category Malicious Web Sites;Security is blocked"
Could this mean that www.websense.com' believe DonationCoder is a malicious site?
It is very diffilcult to get my work to change the category so I can't download the latest version. Oddly enough I was able to download the beta version that Mouser gave me link to a few days ago.

Yep, that looks good to me. I got the message to confirm what splice I want to perform on that particular image but not for other 'standard' size screenshots.

Hi,
I thought I did this before but I can't get it to work now, read on.
I have an image taken by screenshot captor that is roughly 1264*53 pixels, so it is quite wide but not that high. I want to splice out a vertical section but each time I highlight the appropriate section and click splice, the whole image is removed.
I tried looking at the manual that comes with version 2.97.03 but it doesn't mention splicing under the SpecialFX menu help. What am I doing wrong?
I have a further problem with the splice function (my original issue still exists).
If I highlight part of an image (say text) - see 1st image Then splice it horizontally, I end up with the black section at the bottom of the image - see 2nd image Now if I undo the splice as it had an unwanted border then the highlighted border gets misaligned
I agree with Shades the layout is dreadful but as he says it's free. I gave up on reading it online, maybe if I printed it I could learn from it but I don't want to print unnecessarily. Thanks to Curt for the posting and of course to the author Mike Halsey’s for giving it away for free..

Hi,
I have an issue using the ever useful Splice out strip defined by selection functionality.
If I splice out a horizontal section I end up with a black section at the bottom of the image. I have attached two screenshots, the first showing my orignal sheetshot and then another after I have removed a section of the image. Am I doing something wrong or maybe I have an incorrect setting?
