I'm determined to fix this bug, and i do have a laptop i can test with..

Can you guys tell me if when you say "when I first use Screenshot Captor, I get the error" what constitutes "when i first use screenshot captor" -- does the error happen just if you try to bring up the program, or at the time you perform a capture? Does it matter if you do a full screen capture or a region or active window capture?

It would be so easy to cut off spammers if the first post was vetted by mods.

In fact we do exactly that.. You'd be surprised how many spammers we catch and kill. In fact we don't just watch first posts, but first couple of posts and the first changes of a users profile (which catches spammers before their first post).

We just tend to be conservative about banning people if it's not really obvious that their post is clearly spam -- and sometimes that means a spammy post is left in place for a bit until we conclusively determine that it's spam.

is there a way to make it automatic, instead of me spliting manually the scans?

thinking outside the box, if you are saying you have a tool that will scan a bunch of pages using your automatic document feeder that you are happy with, and that the only problem is it combines them all into one pdf..

then just let it do that, and use a simple tool to take a pdf file and extract each page to a separate pdf file -- surely they exist.

The one drawback is it doesn't show images.. but it should be much faster that way.
Might be nice to add a version that did show images but forced them all to show as thumbnails.

Making a shortcut of directories is a good idea; make sure it is at the top of the Search Directories list.
Also for max speed, go to General Options tab and choose "Stay in Memory Longer" for the Inactive Memory use settings.

Kalos is asking a specific question, about interacting and manipulating the gui controls of other applications.

I'm guessing your answer is going to be something like: AHK/AutoIt, or Microsoft Powershell, or C#.

People who are more familiar with Powershell may be able to chime in on how it compares to AHK/AutoIt for such purposes, as I'm really not sure.

Hi simon, welcome to the site and thanks for the nice words!

You are absolutely right that I need to add the higher function keys.. i've actually been thinking about adding code to let farr use capslock key also, since i agree 100% that it's a useless key on the keyboard, so its a nice idea to have an option for FARR to use it. I'll move it up higher on my todo list.

Check out the FARR videos to learn about more of the strange functions hidden in FARR.
