Special Clipboard

Acumulative clipboard

I would to know about depurative tools for texts. Perhaps an addon for word or a seperate tool.

I am looking for a special clipboard to sum the text passed to clipboard o allow to select discontinous zones of the text in the same operation to the clipboard.

Examples :

1. I have the text :

"this is my first text"

and then copy to clipboard

and this other text :

"My second text"

and also copy to clipboard

When I paste I obtain :

"This is my first text
My second text"

P.D. Perhaps an autohotkey script with Ditto ?

2. We usually select the text higlighting a copying to the clipboard.

If we have the text :

"This is my first text. Palabras no interesantes para copy. My second text"

Will be possible to select only the phrases :This is my first text  and My second text

and then paste where I need it.

Thanks
Excuse my language. I'm from Canary Islands

I take a look to desktop X and is terrible for me. I don't have time to manage a program like that.
I want simple solutions. I prefer a program to do few things. So I understand tha program is for people prepared to enjoy designing.....

I have put off impulse now.exe from the startup folder and no problem. And even can put more minutes to revise.
Therefore the publicity is easy to take off. And this procedure ocuppied almost  10 KB ram memory.

I run Impulse as I have the whole Object Desktop package - I only fire it up when checking for updates! But you're correct - it does use resources which is why I upgraded to a Dual Core CPU...

Another option to tidy up is to put the icons in a folder and then in one click you have them or..........use the Quick Launch Bar? A Google search should bring up a plethora of programmes but on DC I find you can generally get good input from others experiences!

I find Object Dock much better than having Desktop Icons  (see attachment in previous post)

I have one objection to new philosofies. I am used to create direct access o archives dowloaded to the desktop. And is difficult to change.

Fences @ 0.96 would give me random explorer errors and crashes, was looking forward to updated or post-beta versions but if they are bundling other stuff might have to pass.

Regarding organizing icons I still think a clean desktop is a better possibility by setting up periodic folder and file moves via AHK, powerpro or something like Belvedere, probably not what the OP is asking but an option

I have belvedere installed a lot time ago (27.12.2008). But I don't use......

What does it mean to 'organize' the desktop icons? How many are there? I have organized mine by hiding all of them! A couple of years ago I didn't have as many icons as I have today, so back then I was using ($20) http://www.idesksoft.com/ , with great pleasure :-) But you may be thinking about a more 'practical' order?

I'll take a look

I actually have Impulse installed on my desktop, as I also have a subscription to Stardock's Object Desktop. However I uninstalled Fences on my notebook computer rather than install Impulse there.

Installing the Fences update on my desktop caused Impulse to reinstall over itself; they apparently did not include the ability to check and see if it is already installed!

Jim

Stardock object desktop is similar to fences ?

I also recently started to use Fences, and would recommend it. However, the persistence of Impulse with the latest version is enough to make me de-install the whole lot.

As an interim measure, I have used Zone Alarm to block Impulse at the firewall, and I have set DC's Process Tamer to force kill the two Impulse applications that run. The Impulse system remains on the hard drive.

It's not an elegant approach, I realise, but it does save me the time and effort necessary to find out what happens to Fences if I try and expunge Impulse from the hard drive.

Good idea. Perhaps I can do the same with the standard windows xp firewall.

I'll take a look. For myself I don't need much. I have very few icons in the desktop. I use launchy, power tray and windows folders to launch almost everything from the task bar, and use one column to the left for the icons, maximum two columns.

But is not for me. Fences like at the beginning because the hiding. I use often a wallpaper changer (webshots) and the icons "bother" to images. The fences is a good idea to mantain organized and hide often.

I want the program for a friend who uses intensivily icons on the desktop and have two monitors........

Sometimes the icons goes un-arranged. So he need an easy way to mantain the order.

Thankssss everybody.

I recently install Fences because a Softonic bulletin. The license finished in november. And the impulse program is horrorous and infamous. I don't like. It's a program so simple and I thought must be a GPL alternative.

Personally, I think Direct Folders is the better program.  But I like Filebox Extender as well.  That is, I don't mean to say it's a bad program.  It's great also, probably my second choice.  That directory synching thing is very cool, David.P!  I didn't know about that.

Still, DF is better overall because of a few specific things.  I've written a review about it on my website (it's actually hosted by DC):
http://aram.dcmember...ware/direct-folders/

and, of course there's the big review here from a while back:
https://www.donation...Extenders/index.html

But don't go with my antivirus.

AVG

And somebody tells also goes bad with eset......

A Strange program indeed ......

I had piky basket under testing remember.
Anvir Task Manager i have seen too. It's a great program. a free version I think have this possibility. It's only I prefer freeware.
I'll take a look to PS Hot Folders.

Thanksxxxxxx

I have been using Direct Folders for years and I think it's best in its class. Unfortunately, it it is not compatible with ESET antivirus.  :'(

I have just replaced FF with FileBox eXtender and it seems to work pretty well. I haven't had any problems using eXtender with OpenOffice.org Writer.

Do you use the version 3 of Open Office ?

I have problems with Calc in this version . With Writer I don't Know.

3873
I have problems with AVG Antivirus. I disconnect but I obtain the same message.
Perhaps is something problematic with my pc and this program.
I am in the proofs partitions and I don't have at these moments a lot of soft here.
I don't know but don't go well.
Sorry

Direct folder seems to be a commercial program.
Direct Folders is freeware.  You get additional features for the Pro version.  These features are not that big a deal for most people.  Did you read my review?

Okis. I'll try now.

3875
CFDButton is not present in some windows. Perhaps I don't understand well.
Folder Menu seems to be a launcher from the tray icon. I am using Power Tray for that purpose.
I will have to have this applications under observation.
I still think Filebox eXtender is the best.
