Are you sure Dragon Naturally Speaking is one for transcripting an audio to text.?
DNS is used to dictate from voice to text. But in real mode until I know. Recognizing the voice you have trained before.

I supposed this is very difficult.
I have a mp3 audio previously recorded. Now I want to convert to text.

Additionally may consist in the discussion between two voices.

What tools can I use to make this work easier ?

Access predefined keys of the windows registry

I would like a script or application to access windows xp registry going directly to predetermined keys.

By example . I execute the script and present three predefined windows registry keys :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\EventSystem\{26c409cc-ae86-11d1-b616-00805fc79216}\Subscriptions
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Mr. Enigma
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Substitutes

Then I select the third and enter in the windows registry by that key.

Is it possible ?

I am under windows xp pro. I don't really understand some concepts. symlink feels very similar to shortcut, but I don't know.

I'm currently hiding from the tax people in the UK at the moment, (not too far from a certain DC member in Yorkshire ), but to answer some of the above:

• It only works on shortcuts.  I could add in copying of actual files/folders but it would be slow compared to some programs out there.  If you want to copy all files/folders excluding shortcuts, try:
  xcopy source destination /E /EXCLUDE:.lnk
  This will duplicate the folder structure, (including empty folders), and copy all files/folders except shortcuts.
• It doesn't run in the background, the progressbar is updated as each shortcut is processed and the results are displayed when all processing is finished.
• You can refresh the Short2Real directory display by pressing F5.
• You'll need to refresh explorers' file view by pressing F5.

I maximize the windows and right controls dissapear and the windows go a little outside and I can't almost read the legend on the task bar of the program .

Benubird only seems to manipulate pdf files. I don't see how would work in this case.

Done.
Now I will delete by hand the shorcuts in DE.003 (M:\Documents and Settings\JOSE\Escritorio\0486.11.DE.003) testing the corresponding real files.
The source folder contains 1194 files and 20 folders with 114 MB. The destination folder at the present time contains 2957 files and 124 folders with 2.69 GB.

 

I take notes of all this to not forget. I will comment everything

The program don't copy normal files, only shortcuts.
So I have make first a copy or the source folder in the target folder of all the files.
Then see the corresponding files to the shortcuts created by the program and delete them in the target folder after verify that the file they are pointing is copied in the target folder.

I'll try this in
M:\Documents and Settings\JOSE\Escritorio\0486.11.DE.003

I have repeat the scenerio third. Received the message 436 shortcuts copied . I supposed the program is working in the background.
I have save this time the log.
I think I have to wait. I don't see in the opened target folder any change.
I click on the until now empty folder and actulize. The CRONO folder appear.
The script is working in the background.....

I have to test the program and wait about 30 minutes to see interaction before try another options.
I want to convert the shorcuts in real files and folders.

And according to my interpretation of the program instructions I have to mark nothing. Only select source folder and target folder and execute.
I try after reiniate the system and prepared the new target folder

I received No shortcuts found and nothing is copied to the destination folder.

So I continue thinking the scenerio three Recursive copy is the adequate and I will have to wait to see the results. 30 minutes I suppose, and will comment.

I have to revise the scenery third and fourth because at the present moment I observ in the

M:\Documents and Settings\JOSE\Escritorio\0486.11.DE.001 folder that I have the crono folder created with the corresponding subfolders. And with the shorcuts converted. Even the folder shortcuts converted.

I suspect that the logs offering the total shortcuts copied is not so fast. The script continues working even in the case of other execution in the scenery fourth where no shorcuts are copied.

I will try again and again over

I think this type of software is far away from possibilities of manipulating simple files.
I have seen in an ERP a way to functional organization of documentation because the docs are created from the program and control real dates of creation and modifications.
For doing this with an external script after the documentation is created I think is necessary go into the metadata.

I tried this just now, rather quickly, in xplorer².
It can generate the sorted file listing in just about any form you want and with various filters. That should be able to meet the requirements.
Then it can create shortcuts for all the files listed, as an immediate batch operation. The shortcuts are output to the Desktop folder by default, but that default could probably be changed.
Thereafter it gets messy. The shortcuts do not inherit the date. If the shortcuts pointed to a folder name which contained a date, then Xplorer² could sort on that text in the shortcut, so you could get a date order out of that.

None of this is automatic. You would have to do it manually within xplorer², though I suppose you could write a batch job to automate it - or some aspects of it.
An expert user of xplorer² would probably be able to do better than I.

Really I need the scenery two.

The recursive copy I think is for replicate the folder tree and all the shortcuts to be copied. Don't go well. The shortcuts are not copied.

I think the soft may need to be revised or I am doing something bad.
