hello

I want to create a virtual treeview, as the folder/file view you get in Windows when viewing as a treeview hierarchy

it doesn't have to be functional, I just want the treeview to edit and display

is there a tool for this?

I am looking to specify parent folders and subfolders (their names) and display the whole structure in a treeview

can I do it in Excel? in Word? in another tool? online? using JS or something?

thanks!

Living Room / online design program
« on: March 02, 2015, 07:50 AM »
hello!

I am looking for an online design program that is really full featured

for example, I wanted to make to concentrical circles and between them to draw vertical springs

I could create the concentrical circles in most online design progams, but no one had an option to draw springs!

I am working on mechanically oriented drawings

any idea?

thanks!

General Software Discussion / remote control of pc via android phone
« on: February 19, 2015, 03:51 AM »
hello!

is there a way to control my laptop via my android phone?

I basically want to wake it up from sleeping, browse it as usual, open files, transfer files, perform actions, run and kill programs, etc and then make it sleep again

is that possible?

or the only way to wake up a sleeping laptop is via hardware, eg click the power button or open the lid, etc?

thanks!

General Software Discussion / change mouse behaviour
« on: January 27, 2015, 04:10 PM »
hello!

I am interested to modify mouse/keyboard behaviour in various programs, for example to close a tab in firefox when I right click on empty space of the webpage (instead of triggering the context menu, which I want to be triggered when I hold CTRL and right click on empty space of the webpage)

AHK doesn't seem able to do this

I had trouble finding a program that will do this, but I was told that such program to work, it needs to "inject code into explorer, and manipulate it using hooks, and/or access internal memory directly".

can you tell me please how to do it exactly?

thanks!

Living Room / everyday life revolution
« on: January 26, 2015, 08:28 AM »
hello

technology has increased dramatically, but we haven't experienced it in everyday life's little inconveniences

one thing I am really bored of, is the shower

it's repetitive, waste of time, inconvenient and tedious, etc

how many times your soap dropped, how many times you were burnt or freezed to adjust the water temperature, how many minutes you spend each week to do that totally nonsense task

I am thinking of a device, that you just take off your clothes, and stand with your legs opened and with your hands in 90 degree (as davinci's human)
then it will scan your body and embrace you accordingly
it will heat you up to a specific temperature
it will water you with the correct temperature
it will shower you and massage you
then it will wash you off the soap
and will heat and dry you
all these with perfect accuracy, so that you will be 100% clean, and within seconds!!!!

then all you have to do is to go out of the bathroom and put your clothes
no freezing after getting out of the bathroom, no water running, no being wet and your clothes stick on you
the whole process can take less than 60 seconds!
wouldn't it be amazing?

clean and fresh in 30 seconds!
revolution!

I imagine the same with your teeth, you put the device in your mouth and it 30 seconds you have fresh teeth!

what do you think?

Living Room / mobile usage monitor
« on: January 13, 2015, 12:39 PM »
hello!

I am looking for an android app that will tell me each month, how many calls I made, how many sms I sent and how many GB I downloaded from 3G/4G, NOT WIFI!

I still cannot find such a simple device

I tried some, but they are stupidly designed, like they reset themselves after one month, or combine wifi and 3G/4G data, or combine the calls I make from mobilevoip.com voip service to the regular calls! or they force me to select an upper limit for calls etc

can anyone suggest me something?

thanks!

what I want is to have each of these slides in seperate page or file

is there any way to do it fast, as it's 45 pages of approx 6 slides in each page?

Living Room / imagine future life
« on: December 20, 2014, 08:54 AM »
hello!

further to my previous thread about "internet of things", I would like to discuss ideas about how future life could be and I am always interested in novel ideas from you

imagine you are at 10am at work
and an idea crosses your mind, to have succulent roasted pork with chips for lunch/dinner
you call your home system and say "roasted pork with chips for two at 6pm" (because you will be a bit late from work
your home system will start ordering the necessary from the warehouse and prepare the dish, so that it will wait you at 6pm fresh and warm!
sensors and robotic arms will follow the recipe exactly, so they will make the perfect dish every time!
or maybe you can download from the net a traditional recipe you found from a village in Czechia! it will be compatible with your home system!
ofcourse it will do the dishes afterwards, pay your bills, etc!
you will call your driveless car to move out of the parking and wait you at your job's door and drive you home without hassle! it will leave you infront of your door, because it's raining and it will go find a parking and park itself!
imagine all the time and effort you spend do the shopping, cook, etc!
it will be now yours to spend it with your family!

Living Room / looking for an adapter
« on: December 17, 2014, 01:33 PM »
hello!

the power cable that goes into my laptop is straight and because the slot for it is at the right of my laptop, it interferes with me moving my mouse

so, I am looking for an adapter that will have the shape of Γ so that I will be able to connect it without that annoyance

is there any?

the plug is a hollow rectangular, a bit larger than usb, with a single pin in it

thanks!

General Software Discussion / autocorrect
« on: November 27, 2014, 11:32 AM »
hello

IE or MS Office have strong autocorrect of common spelling mistakes

they somehow identify which word you want to write, evne if yu wirte lkie tish

but I want it to work in every text I type anywhere

is there a good solution?

I am not looking for a program that will autoreplace common specific spelling mistakes from a library, because my spelling mistake may not be included in the library

I would like something, maybe with artificial intelligence or something, that will detect the correct thing I want to say

thanks

Living Room / ebay snipping
« on: November 26, 2014, 02:30 PM »
hello

is there a reliable, easy to use, secure way to snip an ebay auction?

set it to place a specific bid, specific seconds before end?

I found some, but they ask me for my ebay login info! isn't this dubious?

if it is free, that would be best!

thanks!
