I totally forgot that I'm an editor at Gizmo as well. I should probably log in there again...  :-[

Always and never.

A fellow bsdforen.de board member is currently working on a major rewrite, introducing even better Windows 10 and FreeBSD support as well as a bunch of crash fixes and, uhm... a change of almost everything. I am confused by the number of changes, honestly.  ;D

Maybe version 10 will be done without any work of my own.  :D

I could imagine that it would be a good starting point for some people who want to try Racket once, even if they hate whisky.  :)

Found Deals and Discounts / Re: [FREE] Docker on Windows

Docker makes me sad. 70s UNIX tools wrapped in a gigantic binary file with a comic-style logo added on top of it, and suddenly it is "the next big thing". Bah, kids today.

I find it amazing that the concept of providing discounts on products automatically makes people want to have them.

Wirth's law is an adage on computer performance which states that software is getting slower more rapidly than hardware becomes faster.

And I'm behind my schedule! :(

Old blood is usually scared off by people who "earned" operator rights in the DC channel.

390
Indeed, you cannot voice yourself. That would be ridiculous, wouldn't it?

391
On freenode, it is easy: You can have voice (+, the flag is "v"), be an operator (@, includes voice, the flag is "o") or a channel owner (which you would know).  :D

I haven't checked lately, but it might be that you need + in the channel to speak.

the displayed servername is wrong.

It is not. chat.freenode.net is the entry point for the various servers in the network named freenode.net.

Try chat.freenode.net.

To my absolute surprise, The GodFather is still being developed by the same guy (but under a new URL). I consider giving it a run against Mp3tag some time this week - Mp3tag bores me. It seems that The GodFather does not support Opus files yet though, which is sad because Opus has replaced Vorbis for me.

N.A.N.Y. 2018 / Re: NANY 2018 Release (preliminary alpha-or-so): ymarks
« on: September 10, 2018, 01:57 PM »
Yup:

If you run the server locally and you haven't changed the port and PIN, the server runs on http://localhost:8888 and the PIN is 12345. The README mentioned above tells you how to change them if you feel like you should.

From: https://ymarks.org/about

The linked README is here:

https://bitbucket.or...-server/src/default/

It says:

(Optional) Place a file named PIN.txt in the same folder as the compiled binary is in order to change your PIN from "12345" to something else. It will have to be a number though.

I should probably write a more obvious documentation, but I'm lazy. Mind to help me out?  :D
