Well, tried it and here's my veredict:

Pros:
-Nice and clean interface
-Lightweight and fast
-Fastest searches
-Dynamic playlists

Cons:
-Can't open cuesheet files (.cue)
-Doesn't integrates with the new Last.fm player (so I can't vote to Last.fm on songs in my machines)
-No custom display of information in playlist

My first reason to do not use it is the cuesheet support, I preffer to rip albums in a single file because gapless and that, but they will never support it.

I like open source idea, but don't like the project admins says things like: -if you don't like our way go back to foobar.

'nuff said.

forget to mention that anyone can submit their API index, because the site just indexes reference pages.
Here's the information: GotApi API

General Software Discussion / GotApi - THE Reference
« on: December 05, 2006, 08:09 AM »
GotApi.com is almost all reference in one.
I'm used to code in various languages and libraries, and having tabs with each documentation in my firefox is really boring.
The GotApi interface have tabs, then you can have many languages opened in the same browser window/tab.

They links and allow you to browse and search in an ajaxy way many languages, to know:
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Javascript/HTML DOM
  • Prototype.JS
  • XML
  • C/C++
  • PHP
  • Ruby/Rails
  • Python
  • Perl
  • Macromedia
  • Drupal CMS
  • Flickr API
  • Databases
  • Java
  • Java2ME
  • Apache Ant
  • ...and the list is growing everytime..

it's nice.

It's hard to me to move from my old and beloved Foobar, but they are doing a good job with musikCube. Maybe if they adds support to Winamp AVS I can switch over. (Because AVS is the only thing I'm missing in Foobar)

Developer's Corner / Re: well written article about "Ruby vs Python"
« on: December 04, 2006, 04:49 PM »
really really great article!

I found it very useful, since I'm a big fan of Python but never tried it on Web programming, now I'm really interested in Pylons.

Thanks

I can't believe the power of AHK. Everyday I see things like that here in DC and I can't figure out.
I didn't saw AHK since many time ago, but those days things created with it are incredible.

Thanks Skrommel, really good job!

General Review Discussion / Re: Desktop streamming review ?
« on: December 02, 2006, 01:50 AM »
That would be nice, a review on desktop sharing tools.

In my company we use that so much, bc distances between workers. Also to show pre-releases to clients in other countries, or give a more detailed perspective on how the things are going.

But the problem of mostly of those services is the need of a standalone client, that mostly of them are only for specific platforms (specially Windows). There are some ones in java that can run from the browser too (like gatherplace.net, the one we're using now). This is ok, those works but so buggy.

We've researched about possibilities and just found that one as the best candidate for compatibility.

Ok, VNC is great. But we can't force our clients to install software in their fully-spyware computers, We need to give them extra support, and it becomes a headache.

I'm using ToDoList long time ago, and it's really great.

I use it for all my needs, work todo's, personal todo's, supermarket lists, everything that need to be remembered.

I can't live without Filezilla..
I use always my text editor to update online content in Q&A servers, but when I need to manage files there I use filezilla.
