What about one where you get "exp" by the number of posts you make, this way "awards" are granted by the amount of interaction you have here on the site... ;)

nudone, have you ever scratched it while rewinding? That was my problem... I am glad they have come up with something that helps that.

It seems that all the links I had to this game have expired... 404 error...
I guess I was looking for one that was actually still linked to a working game.

Maybe we can help by adding some links to some Game programming books for people who want to learn how?

Wow... for a minute I thought I was reading something about frailities in Microsoft... but that is old news.

Let's start collecting some ideas from all you gamers out there who want to see your ideas come to life! We might be able to collectively come up with some pretty unique ideas that could shape the gaming industry. I like the idea that there are a lot of people on this site from many different countries. We should come together with our programming abilities and ideas to see what we can come up with.

We may need to start small, stretch our wings, see what our limits are, as well as our potential. Perhaps eventually we could create the DonationCoder Industries. DCI or something, where anyone can contribute to the cause. Naturally this will take some work, and some advertising.

If you have an interest in this, or know someone who might, please invite them to the site so we can make some some of our dreams, a reality.

Ok. I will do that. Thanks for the lead.

I was wondering something about Myspace... I have heard that it has been known to have many problems with viruses. Almost seems that the more people who use myspace (those less apt to computer safety knowledge) have had many problems with viruses. Any word on this?

Just a thought: What about a board, or at least this topic, where people come together to collectively share ideas that can be worked on together? Or did I just miss it already?

Living Room / Re: Buying New PC. Suggestions?
« on: October 04, 2006, 01:13 PM »
Personally I'd pick a 17" TFT with decent refresh rate, then add another when I got the cash. Two monitors rock, and 1280x1024 on a 17" is just fine.

I agree. I would take the two 17" over a 19" anyday.

Living Room / Re: Windows Blinds... why the extras?
« on: October 04, 2006, 01:04 PM »
The main thing I noticed was the font changes in a lot of my applications. I even went in and selected the Windows XP Theme (default one) but I had to go into the Advanced settings to change my fonts to something... better, I guess.

Wow, does the DVD rewinder come in red? ;D

Anyone use Windows Blinds to change the StartBar and it screwed up other settings on your PC? Anyone know how to reverse the changes? I even removed the software but to no avail.

Post New Requests Here / IDEA: Screen Edge

What About making a border around your monitor so you can't take windows off the screen. Or having it so it will snap to the screen edge like the the gtalk chat windows. Or enabling it by holding a hot key while you move a window.

I have another thing to say about the Ghoster thing. I noticed while watching a video, it was flashing as if it was going in and out of the active window... Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed this.

I think donating shows loyalty. Yes some people are going to download everything they want without batting an eye. But there are the others that want to show that they appreciate the work that the programmers put into the requests. Maybe only the members should be able to put special requests for software?

I do see where you are coming from mouser, and regardless of your decision, I think the only people who would take offense to your donate / freeware are those who haven't donated. Good luck.

Thank you for the leads. I do understand that much more goes into it than simply drawing it, but I wanted something simple.  :)  Again, thanks.

I don't know anything about coding, programming or if this is even possible, but can you make a simple program that lets you draw and choose the letter you would like to represent?
