Announce Your Software/Service/Product / Keyboard Kard
« on: August 11, 2017, 02:54 PM »
Source code sold

Keyboard Kard is an application that generates printable cards based on a unique ID to be used to create long secure passwords. If you ever lose your card you can either generate a new card with a new ID or type in your previous ID and print another card. There is no need to remember all your passwords, you'll have them right in your pocket and no one but you will know the secret (unless you tell them!).

Please see the help file for more info.

Chris Gingerich - Background is CAD and Civil Design. Taught myself programming and was lucky enough to fall into a programming job where I could work from home for a while (about 2-3 years) then was moved to my current location in Chapel Hill, NC where I have been since. I am the IT Administrator and lead programmer for InsureSign ( for the past 6 years. Have 2 kids, Carissa 5 and Logan 14 today (7/14). Still struggle day to day to make ends meet, but I love coding and will keep doing it as long as I can.

Lock Screen Reflection updated to 3.0.

Added preview dialog and the ability to set to run at startup.

I see, that's odd. I will look into that. Thanks!

@tomos - I am not sure what "+" character you are referring to. Can you take a screen shot?

I'll look into adding the filepaths also.

I am thinking about adding encryption to Note5 so you can "lock" a note. Is there any other features that you would like to see in Note5?

Note: My website is down for the moment, but you can access my old site and take a look at Note5 -

I am out of my bind, thanks. I will still keep the source available for purchase.

I don't think I have ever sold the source to a program before (at least not that I remember). I'm in a bit of a bind and was hoping to get something for it. I know it is freeware and it's in an little known/used/outdated language (Visual Dialogscript), but anyone who knows programming can look at the code and should be able to easily convert it to another language, plus I can explain the code if needed. It does use 2 free external VDS dlls for the non .NET version (current version) or a free external command line app that needs .NET. I was thinking $50, which is prolly way too much, so I'll take what I can get. If there is another app of mine that you are interested in the source, let me know and we may be able to work something out depending on the app. Anyway, if interested send me a PM. If this is not appropriate to post here, please remove it.

Well I wouldn't say that, but thanks.  :-[

I think I am going to have to start making file encryption apps.  8)

It doesn't bother me too much as it is an ad for a MS product. If they started selling banner ads to other 3 party companies then that is different.

This is a small quick app (only took about 15 min) to take the current lock screen on Windows 10 and set it as your desktop wallpaper. I like the lock screens that Windows Spotlight uses so I wanted to set it as wallpaper also. You can also save the image if you want to keep it for another time.

Download and more info -

When trying to save a note/scratch pad with special characters, it errors out. Looks like you are not converting characters like *?/ etc. I would either convert those or not allow those to be used.

Screen Shot -

Thanks Mouser!

Yep! :-) They forgot to post the registration key so here it is until they fix it. This key ONLY works with the version on their site, not the one on my site.

Open Paste As File and click on the About button and select About/Check for update.
Enter the following information EXACTLY as it is below.

Usually even if there is a system tray icon there is a window for it, just not visible. Do you know if the title of the main window also changed if there are new messages? Like a 1, 2, 3... added to it? If so then just watching for the window title to change should be easy enough to do.

After looking at it more, it's only for a year. I may have missed that on the registration page, after you register and look at the Manage License dialog again, it'll say the expiration date and how many days left. Just FYI

Cool thanks!
