General Software Discussion / Re: Converting from FLV to AVI

http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

That's the mother of all converters and it's free as well.
Maybe, but it sure is difficult to download! I gave up using Firefox, and got it in IE with only two tries.

wow, I have vista duel booted on my computer, and I have a fairly crapy computer, and vista runs perfect on it, and for deleting files, I can delete then fast, just like with xp, though I kind of like vista better, because firefox is messed up on my xp right now, dunno why, but it works perfectly on vista. I haven't ran into many problems yet.

General Software Discussion / Re: CD DVD Autorun
« on: May 08, 2007, 11:42 PM »
you can use autorun maker, it is a small, and doesn't have to be installed, single exe file. you can make autorun files and also add items to the right click menu of the cd in the my computer that will let you run a program on the cd.

General Software Discussion / Re: run the same program twice
« on: May 06, 2007, 03:40 PM »
it isn't the best method, but I am using a program called virtual flash drive, and I installed a flashdrive os called mojopac on one of the virtual flashdrives, and now I can open multiple copies of any program whether it can do that or not.

General Software Discussion / run the same program twice
« on: May 03, 2007, 11:12 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knew of a program, or a way to run the same program twice? I would prefer not having to use a virtual machine, as I don't want to do that. I would like to be able to do this, please and thank you.

what I meen by this is, lets say calculator only lets me open one instance of it (does it do that?)
well, I want to do two calculations at once, so I would some how force calculator to open a second time, now I can calculate stuff twice as fast, because I have to copies of calculator running.

N.A.N.Y. Challenge 2007 / Re: Volt - v0.0.6 - December 17, 2006

I was just asking because at the time I was using headphones, and had to plug then directly into the computer and they don't have a volume control, and I use xp and vista, but now I got everything working, and don't use vista that much.

You might as well just call it Dirty Word Hangman, as I am sure that is what it would become 1.47836483 seconds after you posted it to the website.  :P
which is why you have it set up to not use words that  are dirty.

637
you could do a review of nmap, it is a pretty good program, it's what the people of my favorite tech iptv show's use for finding out information.

638
expanding on that idea, someone could make a website version of hangman, and then users could upload text files with their own personal words/phrases, and then the site would add it to the database, and then when a user goes to the site, they would get a word that a user came up with.

639
With that english grammar error, just change it to say drive letter %drive% doesn't exist or somthing like that, completly removing the a/an problem all together.

640
I just use regular portable apps, they are good, portablefreeware.com has a massive list of portable apps. My Brother had a U3 drive, but then he got rid of the U3 part, it took to long to load, so now he has a regular 4 gig flash drive.

Yes, I use The Brain (insert TM here) for procrastination a lot, I can't use it for less important things

windows media encoder, run that on your regular usage computer with the video running, then open windows media player on the computer conected to the tv, connect to the ip of your regular usage computer and the port you set up. example 192.168.1.101:8080 I think 8080 is the default port. I hope that isn't confusing.

Just google windows media encoder, I am sure you could find it there with good instructions on using it.

644
lol, if someone can find a plugin that does this, that would be pretty cool.  ;D
