Circle Dock / A Loading Image
« on: March 05, 2010, 09:36 AM »
Hi, With almost everyone doing their part in helping this great program, I thought it was time that I did too.
Here is a graphic I've been working on  :-[
Tell me what ya think of it

I completely agree with this, however I do not have the money to change to windows 7 64 bit but this is something I WILL do in the future.
change is what preserves us all, we cannot allow ourselves to become stagnant.

To the Sarge... Well said! Had we all just said "why change if it works" computers would still be the size of a room (if they would have been invented at all)
technology is the future, and it continues to advance every day as you said... if we stop advanceing we are on the quick path to doom.

 :o !
This sounds amazing!
Keep up the good work
Can't wait to use this application  :-*

there is an superbar for unbuntu that's open source
http://ospalace.blog...u-and-few-other.html

and another that looks like asuperbar for vista
http://www.megaleech...et/Windows_7_Taskbar

Did this help at all, because seeing these features in circle dock would blow my mind  :tellme:

i reinstalled it again this time without my icon settings and it still give me an error.

error.JPG

on top of that my 1st dock is set to lock at location but when i run my dock it resets its location
my computer is really starting to annoy, because i think and fear that it might be changing my docks...

however it only appears to not work then the folder is circledock1 anyother folder works for some reason...

Im not sure if it would be a 64 bit issue besause im running the 32 bit version of windows 7
I got you:
 (see attachment in previous post)
I have not seen this happen to me since v1.0
If toggle dock visibility will it go away?????
toggleing the dock invisibility doesnt work i usually have to add another icon to the dock for it to rerender the whole dock. what Markham said about rotating the dock works too.

the empty spots in my dock are supposed to have icons there, but the icons where rendered in the top left corner on top of each other...

I run windows 7
.net fremework 3.5

hwever the only way that this problem duplicates itself is completely random. when it will happen i have no idea.

I wasnt running multiple docks at the time, in fact all times this happened is when i wasn't.

I feel like an ass because All I have done is mostly post bugs.  :(
...but I think I found another one though.
sometime when cd stats up it will move some random icons on the dock and post them in the top left hand corner
this is completely random but it seems to happen on start up...

Tell me if you need more info on this problem and ill gladly give it

I don't mean hiding the dock with a mouse click or hot key. I mean if you double click on an icon (in this case being cd), if it is not showing it will show it and if it is hide it, and it it isn't even started yet run it.
I checked the help file specifically the visibility options and there is no way to do this and I'm curious if there is a way  :tellme:

Maybe the toggle button might work i'll have to try this...

also as for my previous posts that could be answered through the help system, I can assure you that I read the help files now to avoid saying something dumb in the future...
my apologies to sgtevmckay and markham for any inconveniences. :-[

hmmmm.... Maybe a show contents of folder option in a future version, to help with this?

that'd be sweet

i didn't phrase it right. i meant a ring that has icons of all instances of cd in it allowing you to toggle its visibility

Maybe an option to show a ring that is able to toggle other individual instances of cd?

Hi XXL007. I followed what Sgtevmckay said earlier in which i set arcs to bottom and cd to normal...
I have no idea about the mouse button thing though I like having my docks up all of the time so I don't use that option at all, in fact I have then all set to none.
yeah rainmeter complements cd very nicely

I do have a question though would it be possible to have a clock run in the center of cd, but then again you could just get rainmeter and avoid all of the frustrations of programming a clock in cd....

Unlikely I'm afraid. The Centre Button is a member of a completely different set of classes to those which Dock Items belong. For reasons which will become apparent later, the Centre Button's use and functionality will remain pretty much as it is.

Mark

oh well... thanks for hearing me out
I do have a few more though  :)
not sure if this falls under docklets.... but maybe the ability to toggle visibility of individual rings through icons in the dock?
...or the ability to rearrange the dock items through drag and drop?

if you want all of your docks to start at startup use a bat file to start them...
this code worked for me (most of the time)
timeout 10
start C:\"Circle Dock4"\"CircleDock.exe"
timeout 20
start C:\"Circle Dock3"\"CircleDock.exe"
timeout 20
start C:\"Circle Dock2"\"CircleDock.exe"
timeout 20
start C:\"Circle Dock1"\"CircleDock.exe"

exit

 - thought I'd give you this info just so you don't run into the problem I did  :)

Wait.... People are charging for software that isn't even theirs! That isn't just wrong it's completely disrespectful.

As for circle dock and ciano dock, it is good to see programmers of 2 different softwares get along that ought to be commended. :)
