Ok... now Gmail 'upgraded' my account too. I like the overall design changes, but why oh why did they remove the send (etc.) buttons below the editing area when you compose a new email? I used to TAB through the recepient, topic and text input areas and then use TAB again to send it (almost like here i the forum).

I tried a few Google searches, but couldn't find out how to send a mail now without touching the mouse... is there a way?

More ideas:

- make Alt+f work as a shortcut to activate the Folder selection

- Alt+r --> Filter selection

- Alt+n --> Name

- Alt+p --> Path

- Alt+e --> Either

178
Whatever you did, you did it well: the icon looks beautiful now!

179
Thanks a lot! Great idea with the help button/functions behind it.

For some reason the icon looks a little bit fuzzy here on the taskbar (Win7), should I create another icon?

180
And a little bug :)

I got an "error launching file" - I can start it OK from Locate, so not sure why... the only 'special' thing is that the path contains a "#" character, does AHK maybe have a problem with that?

Edit: Hmm... another error message, but this time no "#" character in the path.

More ideas:

- an option below the folder field to specify "must match", results would be limited to matching a pattern you enter here, e.g. "vacation" would only launch files with that search string in the path (maybe an additional option to choose if it must be in the file name or/and in the directory part of the path)

- how about an icon for Scud? The forum didn't allow to attach it, so here it is: http://www.zshare.ne...ad/96988396bf848a4c/

- how about an option/button for a random image?

Wow, awesome! Thanks a lot! Works like a charm

Nice! It doesn't really work with my way of browsing, but I'm sure it'll find its audience.

I found the "TooManyTabs for Chrome" extension, which is not exactly like what Firefox offers, but (after getting used to its slightly weird ways) pretty helpful!

You can use it to 'put away' tabs you don't currenty need - not sure how to describe it exactly, but it's a good idea and made my Chrome experience (with many tabs) a lot smoother! Check out the screenshots/video on that page above.

Manage your tabs, improve your browsing, and maintain your sanity when you have many tabs open.

Ever tried having 20 tabs or more open in Chrome? You can’t even see the favicon of the tabs, not to mention the tab titles! If that happens to you, TooManyTabs is a must-have extension that manages your tabs, reduces your tab overflow, and saves your sanity!

From the makers of TooManyTabs for Firefox, TMT has come to Chrome to help all your tab needs!

Features
- Import tabs data from TooManyTabs for Firefox (NEW)
- Bird's eye view of all opened tabs
- Clear preview of each tab's content (fills up gradually as you use)
- Instant tab search
- Sort tabs by creation time, domain or title
- Restore recently closed tabs
- Suspend idle tabs and save memory, organize with custom columns
- Custom themes

Hi!

Wouldn't it be fun if you had a little launcher tool that would ask you for a path (and you could either click through to a folder or just paste a path into the window) and it would search for all media matching the given extension(s) and then randomly launch one (with the media player association you set in Windows)? I'd love it! :)

Optional extras:
- put the full path of the file launched into the Windows clipboard
- a customizable list of file types to pick from, somewhat like in Locate (https://www.donation...dex.php?topic=1385.0) so you don't have to enter all the different video or sound file types manually

Thanks, I'll stay with the program, MUCH more powerful than the web service. :) Really crazy, how many different ebook formats there are these days...

187
Wooow! That's some seriously huge tool... and free! ...and comes with an intuitive interface!  :-* (I love that lots of options are explained when you mouseover them.)

Thanks a lot, I was able to do the conversion successfully with it.

188
I wasn't able to find that page, that's why I asked. :) I thought about commenting to (in favor of the idea), but what you wrote sounds like there's enough support for it there already.  8)

Hi,

is there a tool or web service to convert MOBI or EPUB files to PDF while influencing/adjusting font size?

190
i didn't expect a feature of Firefox to be much anticipated in Chrome, normally it'd be the other way around. with Firefox supposedly playing catch-up to Chrome and all that..

Yeah, surprised me too!  8)

I see several people requesting it on chrome bug page.

Oh, interesting! Where did you see them requesting it?

191
No reply = not possible for Chrome? :( It *really* speeds up Firefox loading (with many tabs), would have liked the same in Chrome... ah well! Maybe another year.

Screenshot Captor / Re: small file name length-related bug
« on: November 28, 2011, 02:07 AM »
I found the bug because I sometimes like to use very long filenames.

193
Thank you. Wow, that option is well hidden! :) Maybe it should be renamed "Resize Image/Add Border"?

It's easy to overlook the color options there when it's set to white. ;)

I was told Greasemonkey might be a solution for this challenge, but I don't know my way around that either.  :-[

Screenshot Captor / small file name length-related bug
« on: November 25, 2011, 06:30 AM »
The longest name an image can have in SC's left column (the path being M:\ScreenshotCaptor\) is

1234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345.png

But in the "Name:" area towards the bottom of SC's window, the max length is this:

1234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890.png

Trying to enter a longer name there just won't work.

196
Thanks for your help!

@mouser, please allow for more than 9 to be entered and saved there

197
Hi,

can I use SC to add a THICK white border around an image? Say half an inch thick? I only know about the option to add a very thin border.

198
Hi,

I'm looking for a (probably/hopefully) very simple extension. I started to use TiddlyWiki recently (https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=28700.0) and like it quite a bit now. The one thing that I miss is that Firefox's text entry box (where I type right now for example) doesn't support highlighting of TiddlyWiki's hyperlinks, and it's easy to accidently type one, because they not only can have a [[hyperlink name 123]] format, but also CamelCase (which *can* be quite handy):

CamelCase

New words created by smashing together capitalized words.

CamelCase is the original wiki convention for creating hyperlinks, with the additional requirement that the capitals are followed by a lower-case letter; hence “AlabamA” and “ABc” will not be links. More information on CamelCase:

http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?WikiCase
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CamelCase

I forgot in which editor I saw such highlighting, but my guess is that doing some kind of highlighting/color coding with everything that's either [[hyperlink text xyz]] or CamelCase should be easy to do in a Firefox extension. Is it?

Gazillions of TiddlyWiki users will love you forever!  :D

Hi again,

is there a way to set on which desktop a new browser window opens? I run Firefox on my big desktop, but sometimes it opens a new window on my 2nd desktop (my other display) - whether I use Ctrl+n or an AutoHotkey script.

Even though it's not *too* bad to then move it with Windows 7's Win+Left/Right key combo, I'd prefer Firefox would ALWAYS open it on the same desktop (my main desktop).

Hi,

the Firefox folks invented a Damn Cool Thing (TM): the "Don't load tabs until selected" option (http://support.mozil...kb/Session%20Restore):

Tip: If you want to speed up the startup, check Don't load tabs until selected so that only the last selected tab is loaded.

Works like a charm, love it! Is there a way to get this behaviour in Chrome, too? I couldn't find an option, and neither an extension for that. :(
