It's been a while since i've used FEBE (which can do quite a bunch of things) so i do tend to forget...
But, every once in a while, i get nostalgic about my first love (Firefox) and take it out of the garage for drive, alas, to only find it lacking in something or another.

Sorry to hear about your issues with Slimjet.
AFAIC, "Share Extension" has been good to me (as well as any other Chrome extension) so far:

Has anyone found an alternative to FEBE that works with Quantum on Windows 10?
Would like export extensions as list with corresponding links to install.

Can't find extensions folder in app data either...

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: autocopy function?
« on: November 08, 2018, 01:48 PM »
It might not quite match what the original "poster" is looking for, but the Autocopy2 extension combined with Cintanotes quick abilities to receive and paste from clipboard (option to add tags to notes and more) might be an option to consider:

Pasting notes from the clipboard
CintaNotes also supports direct text pasting from the Windows clipboard. Select the “Paste” command from the “Edit” menu or press Ctrl+V. CintaNotes creates a new note with the text from the clipboard. It also tries to determine which application has put the data into the clipboard, and if successful, it uses the application window title as the note’s title. Unfortunately, reliable clipboard data source detection is not always possible, and when CintaNotes fails to find the source window, the first line of the pasted text becomes also the note’s title.
If you are pasting a note that was inserted to the Clipboard from CintaNotes, the Title, Tags and date information will be copied from the original note in addition to the note content.
It is recommended that you use clipping instead of clipboard pasting as much as possible, because in the former case more data can be filled automatically for you.

Personally, i use the middle mouse to paste any given note from CN.

Btw, Autocopy2 is a nice Firefox extension i didn't know about.

Do like clipr since it grabs url at same time as selected text (but not needed if using CN):

Another blonde joke?
https://www.majorgee...just_to_be_sure.html

Reminds me of a Candid Camera tv episode when they had a fast food restaurant with no pickup window.
The blonde placed her order at the speaker, went around to pick up, no window...
She went around the building in her car about 6 times!  :P

Seeing that there's no "like post" or "thank you" icon to click on...
Just want to "verbally" express it with these lines
Hope it can work out for me as well as for everyone else who'll drop by to read your most extensive explanation!

While the theme is still "hot"...
Does this audio/video search feature work for non-English languages?

(do not hesitate to let me know if it is better for further questions to post at the aforementioned thread).

This one's for the kid in us or for those who have young ones.

A young serpent ran over to his mom with an urgent request.
"Mommy, mommy, are we venomous serpents?!"
"Yes dear, we are venomous serpents."
"But, really mom, are we really venomous, venomous?!"
"Yes dear, we are venomous, venomous!"
"But, mommy, mommy, are we really venomous, venomous?!!!"
"Son, i've already told you twice, yes, we are truly, venomous, venomous! Why do you ask?"
"It's 'cause i bit my tongue!"

Evernote sure does a good job at saving webpages.

While it may be a bit of work to backup OneNote data, i don't see the author pointing an easy way to backup Evernote data.

Btw, just poking fun at you IainB!
I'm a little twerp who should probably read over all of this thread to better appreciate all the good tips you've given over time.  ;)

I'm surprised IainB hasn't posted a comment on this recent post at MUO yet.  :P

Spotted this one thanks to ItsFoss.com:

Haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty lean.

Living Room / Snippetnote -online service for coders

I'm most certainly no coder, but... did spot Snippetnote on MakeUseOf and thought i'd share since the author saw it as useful to coders.

@Ath - thanks for the tip! Probably saw it before but didn't dawn on me.

@anandcoral - ya, it seemed like they were growing from day to day.

Can someone enlighten me on the difference between Mozilla Corporation and Mozilla Foundation?
One makes money bit time while the other doesn't.
What does the one that makes money do with it all (some 400 million/year)?
If they spend most on sending it to the not-for-profit one, why bother users with these nagging ads?

I get the picture mouser.

Maybe... picking up where a few of the long-trusted and used Firefox legacy extensions left off would be an easier challenge?
Autohide bookmark toolbar, scroll through open tabs with middle 'mouser'  :P, FTDark theme to name a few appreciated features of old that'll never come back?.
Bye bye 2017!

Sometimes we just don't realize the amplitude of some requests we make...  :(
Maybe it was a bit of disgruntle with regards to Firefox moves as of the last few years that have surfaced at initiating this thread.

With regards to Mozilla: (correct me if i'm wrong) you have the Foundation (not for profit) and the Corporation (multi-million dollar business around $400 if i'm not mistaken).
So, i'm kind of weary as to just how much Mozilla really needs in funding.

Linux distros are plentiful and you wonder why the devs don't merge their efforts to improve on the top 20 ones.
Perhaps it's because there will always be a niche for something better?

Indeed!

Who knows, perhaps one of these alternatives could make it big someday.

@Stephen6615 - with so many frustrated Firefox users and little alternatives to go to (Chrome and clones)... perhaps the time has come for something different?

With all the decent coders here (many of whom are doing some good, honest, free-will work) could we not come up with a viable alternative to present browsers?
I'm sure plenty of donations would come in to encourage this kind of venue and who knows just how far the project could go and be of benefit to all.

A 2018 N.A.N.O. project maybe?

Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to all!

Got it!
Thanks again!

You're a good tutor IainB!

Seems like i'm missing something in my version of ON 2016:

@IainB,

Silly me, can't find option (desktop 2016 or Android) to have ON search within scanned items by default.
Always thought it was a good thing if they could do that but never saw that option.
I'm blind!

Will find it...

99
It works IanB, thank you!

Btw, if someone is familiar with OneNote for Android...
Is there a way to scan two pages at once (booklet)?
So far, i can only scan one at a time.
