4wd : i followed everthing as you have shown in the snapshot, but couldn't get it anywhere. Really
EDIT: These drivers supposedly work with Windows 2000.Intel(R) 82801GB/GR/GH (ICH7 Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C0It's that one.-hulkbuster (October 19, 2011, 07:11 AM)-4wd (October 19, 2011, 07:49 AM)
Grab a copy of a Linux "live" CD.Thank you 40hz, that was a brilliant solution you provided, you see i already had Ubuntu 11.4 in the pendrive Drive made by YUMI: (detail about YUMI).
Boot from the CD and you should be able to delete the file from within Linux using its file manager.
I'd suggest using the PCman FM file utility on the PartedMagic Linux utility distro.

You would have to add them to your Start folder.-joiwind (July 24, 2011, 07:25 AM)
I have REFOG keylogger running on my PC 24x7. I _am_ nice enough to give my friends a heads-up when they login to their email/whatnot from my machine, though.
It's much more than a simple keystroke recorder but AFAICT it's extremely light on resources. If you're looking for thorough monitoring, you should check it out. The only PITA is, it's always flagged as malware by Malwarebytes, no matter how often I ask it to ignore it. And REFOG breaks up its logs into several tiny files, so I have to individually mark each file as safe.-nosh (July 24, 2011, 01:47 PM)
You should obtain a Win2000 driver for your SATA controller, or you won't be able to clear this. It should be placed on a floppy drive, as that's the only way to add a disk-IO driver to Win2000, AFAICS.
Any particular compelling reason for using Win 2000? It's no longer updated by Microsoft (even the successor WinXP is declared 'end of life') and lots of modern software (even virusscanners...) won't work on it, so I'd avoid it like the plague. For (software)testing purposes you could install it in a virtual PC like VMWare or VirtualBox.
On modern hardware XP is as fast as W2000, or at least not noticeable slower, if you set it to Classic Windows look instead of showing all graphics bells and whistles, and XP does have decent hardware-driver support in contrary to Win2000.-Ath (June 27, 2011, 02:41 AM)
I'd say get an O'Reilly pocket book and just read through it. It's fairly short, and packed with good information. Since it's small, you take it with you and read anywhere -- public transportation, on the toilet... or are those the same thing? But I digress!
The number of tags isn't too high, so it's doable. By learning the tags, you will understand the tutorials.
Basically, knowing the tags is like knowing the tools. Tutorials will then show you how to USE the tools.
Start with a text editor like EditPlus or something. Start slow as well. Build simple documents then progress to learn about layout.
At the beginning, keep CSS in mind, but don't worry too much. Learn that later. Focus on structure to start. e.g. Keep inline elements inside of block level elements, etc.
There are a trillion tutorials out there, so just browse through 20 or so and find some tutorials that you find easy and fun to follow along with. The most important thing is that you find tutorials that fit YOUR style of learning, be that video or whatever.
Always try to remember that you are building a DOCUMENT of sorts. That document can host many things in it, but it is always a document. (HTML is a declarative language, unlike say XSLT which is a functional language.)
Learn JavaScript once you're comfortable with HTML.
A decent order of things to understand is:
HTML 4
CSS
JavaScript
XML
XHTML
HTML 5-Renegade (May 17, 2011, 10:44 PM)
The new MS installers pick the drive with the most free space for their temp stuff extraction, and it was your external drive that won the matchThank you for your suggestion that really worked, although i havn't tried the Cacls method,,,,,great advice though.
You may need to return to that friend and use the same account on his PC to be able to remove the directory, if you can't after taking ownership of that directory. (That's hiding behind one of several Advanced buttons in that Properties screen) Also be sure not to access the directory with Explorer before your try to remove it, it might get locked by Explorer scanning it's content and also the AV scanning it again.-Ath (January 25, 2011, 11:56 AM)
