Comments by and large on the side of the photographer. What are the chances it would the same if this was about a song (writer/company distributing it)?

Of course price is number 1 reason I have owned Motorala, especially since I am not a heavy cell user at all, so yes I agree with the 'relative' statement.
Among the issues that I have had with G series is the G3's front facing camera stopped one day, the phone wasn't dropped and there were no system or app updates either. It just stopped as if the phone doesn't have a front camera, no apps that use the camera even showed the option to switch to front camera. Resets, cache and data emptying etc all had no effect, remember googling it and other had experienced it too. I guess it was a hardware issue somehow, pretty bizarre as far as these things go.

Moto G series are not known for good cameras. Where did you read that the G series are good camera? Would be very cool if G6 has changed that but I have owned a few (G5 and older) and camera is probably the biggest weakness, if anything.

I have come across this in the past, though never used it to do what I think you are asking.

https://venturebeat....r-chrome-extensions/

Google today announced that Chrome will no longer support inline installation of extensions. New extensions lose inline installation starting today, existing extensions will lose the ability in three months, and in early December the inline install API will be removed from the browser with the release of Chrome 71.

FWIW Firefox's own screenshot tool does that well in my experience

Business system, whether you want to call it capitalism or not, is a joke. 100% agreed with mouser and 99% with Tuxman ( :D ) 7.5 billion for GitHub is one example of a farcical money flow that is dominated by banks/stocks/fake cash.

I guess a whole other topic as far as DC goes  :tellme:

I assume syncing settings. Ghostery also has 'added functionalty' when you sign up but I have never seen an explicit mention of what it is (I haven't signed up to try to see it myself).

If it is indeed syncing it once again highlights the achilles of internet for me. In the past on DC I have mentioned online syncing of passwords is a bad idea and in today's everything is eventually hacked world I wouldn't do it, but signing up for ghostery syncing is, at the risk of getting flamed for saying it, lazy

Living Room / Canadian adventures

Nothing interesting but a lesson in life perhaps. Would expect a lot more from Canada and any so called first world country.

Living in a big city suburb, Toronto suburb, definitely not rural. Phone service is down on several streets for 5 days and counting. Internet (DSL) is sporadic at best. Somehow internet, presumably because it uses 1 pair of wires not 2 is not 100% affected even though the phone company rep cites the issue as 'water soaked cable, trying to find location of the soaked cable'  Makes very little sense and the downtime length is down right ridiculous.

Intro:
The Journal is most of all a record keeper, a diary or journal with added benefits of supporting reminders, images, to do lists and free form "doodles".

TheJournal7.png

Who is this app designed for:

Many would benefit since this overlaps a personal information manager with writing tools.

The Good

The tree style categories that support both a calendar or daily journal format or writing kept in a "loose leaf" format which as its name suggest is like a white page.
The possibility to display a day calendar to a page adds flexibility in creating reminders and remembering any writing by date.
There is big emphasis on securing the database including entry encryption, password protection, lock up on minimize. Plus 'extended security' to lock the program after X failed logins.
Plenty of formatting options and support for icons, tables, timers and stop watch.
Word counts, spell check and thesaurus included.
Global or filtered (date, title, category, image description based) search add more usefulness. Search queries can be saved.
Bookmark entries, move between entries based on set dates (eg 1 year ago)
Built in back and restore option, auto save as you type.

Why I think you should use this product

The product seems stable enough to keep records and makes it easy to save your database in any location including cloud drives to share across devices as its license allows this.

Conclusions
The extended trial period makes it very easy to decide if price is worth it and it fits into a user's workflow. It is a well rounded information manager.

Wait.. Stephen is making sense? When did that start?

That and he doesn't even own a phone?  :P

Which software did you receive?  Just curious.  I have to start writing my reviews, so don't feel bad  :-[

 but yes as wraith said was not about need

If the writing idea is implemented I think I can participate. Which reminds me to write a mini review of the software I won in the giveaway, hopefully by weekend  :-[

Other than hosting and site costs the priority should be the coders. I would increase the coders amount, that includes yourself of course. They create 'loyalty' to the site and concept of DC.

How to enable CodyMode?

Unlike my home setting experience disk space is more expensive than bandwidth and other things in the hosting world. Of course hard drives used on servers are not the same as those for personal use but over my time I have shopped for hosting countless times and one can get the best processors, bandwidth but suddenly over 100GB disk space (or 500GB for example for dedicated servers) the price climbs rapidly. I suspect hosting all software, images, videos here on DC servers is itself requiring more cash. Several examples I have come across are in hosting forum sites. The 'not expensive' processor and RAM options can easily handle the number of connections and users who are simultaneously viewing the site and demanding resources...but as the forum accumulates GBs of posts and content the costs rise faster than one might think.

148
If you truly like the software you won, it would be nice if you posted a little mini-review about it, as a way of saying thank you to the company that donated it for us to give away.

Good idea, will after a few days of using it.

Thanks mouser, wraith808, Cranioscopical and the software companies
