@bjbull,
This is the developer of FastMindMap (was MindVisualizer), I'm glad to find this post with Google. As an independent developer who sucks at marketing, posts like this is really helpful, thank you!
The recent update of FastMindMap has been topic "Document", you can see it as that each branch/topic has a lightweight Word document editor attached.
Yes, the focus of FastMindMap now is document authoring/writing.
You can now arrange/split your writings with a mind map, write in pieces, and combine/merge the entire mind map into a single document when you finished your writing.
Now you might ask, some other mind mapping tools also have rich text editing feature, what makes FastMindMap's document editor different?
The answer is that FastMindMap's document editor is much much full-fledged than any other else. Yes, I'm very sure about that.
Moreover, in addition to the "Document" property, each topic/branch also has a "Notes" property. The idea is taken from WritingOutliner.
If you are interested in FastMindMap's writing software based on mind mapping approach, check here.
Oh, and since the original coupon has expired, this is a new one, for what it's worth: SDFZAQ (valid in a week).
Thanks for your support!
