N.A.N.Y. 2019 / NANY 2019 idea for an app: display Outlook invitations
« on: December 04, 2018, 07:09 AM »
Hi there,

on Android, there is an app which enables you to read (and deal with) the Outlook invitation you may receive (.ics files) This app is named Invitation processor https://www.youtube..../watch?v=FHjmOs3fMx0 .

How come that it is not possible to have the same little piece of software on Windows for at least displaying a given invitation (be it .ics or .ical) in plain and clear language?

For non Outlook users, such as all those using The Bat, it is a nightmare.

The syntax of the invitation is seen there http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2445.html

It should be a standalone little app, on which you just drop an .ics attachment...

Just my 2 eurocents..
