Hi,
Same as Brian (Cinematic6436), I'm fairly new to F2F but since discovering it, it gets almost daily use! However I also recently changed PC, reinstalled everything and ran into the exact same problem Brian described!
Does this mean the end of F2F with more recent updates of Windows then?
I'd love to forward a donation to this small but very useful script but seeing it hasn't been updated since 2014 and it currently doesn't even work anymore...seems pointless  :-\.
Thanks,

Geez, I feel so embarrassed  :-[
It is working! But....I can promise you I must have attempted this at the time of posting (the OP is old) and something must have gone wrong because I was aware of that option in the menu!
In fact, it's odd that nobody mentioned this in my OP!? That should have been the starting point for troubleshooting a problem.

Oh well, all cleared, it's working, I'm happy!  :D
Thanks for your patience and guidance!

Well...yes. If you read the other thread, didn't you see my reply to skwire? I said I was completely lost and incapable of using it. Same here but it just seemed a little bit more accessible, but maybe not.

I'm not sure, it's confusing because it's not the same thread where I had posted the same request and from which this app was suggested as a solution. So go here and you'll see my post and the replies to it: https://www.donation....msg413800#msg413800

Hi,
I'm new to this app and am absolutely not a coder and it seems to me that to be able to use it, one needs to have some grasp on at least some basic coding (which I don't!).

This app was recommended to me by some on a forum where I was requesting for a feature in an app called File2Folder. File2Folder does exactly that....it creates a shell menu which allows you to then put your selected files into folders by right-clicking the file and selecting 'File2Folder' in the menu. The only problem is that it will do it one file at a time! In my case I have 100s of files I'd like to put into folders so I was told this app could help in doing that in one click.

If it is in fact possible, could I ask a kind soul tell me how to do that?
Thanks!  :)

skwire, if I was able/capable of using it, maybe, but from the screenshot alone I can tell I won't. Don't know what 'regular expressions' are? Thank anyway, I'll now have a look at the one tomos posted.
Thanks anyway to both!  :)

Hi,
Isn't it possible to batch process the basic task of File 2 Folder? i.e., I have 10 files name file 1.txt, file 2. text, file 3.txt,.... (one click batch process) and have them each go to folders named 'file 1', 'file 2', 'file 3', etc...
It would seem very useful when you want to run the basic File 2 Folder action but on multiple - and in my case hundreds! - files in one step?
Thanks,
chumbolito
