Thank you for this amazing tool!

I find the toolbar quite helpful; though it appears that most of the buttons require a few try to get the desired result.

e.g. I am trying on the "encase" button. I would select the text and press on the button, and instead of encasing it with quotation mark, it would basically paste the last entry on the clipboard. I would then control+z to reverse that, and then try the encase button again. Usually on the 2nd or 3rd try it would work. Same seems to be the case with other buttons, such as change case ones.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

That's the one.
Thank you very much timns!

I once used a software that extended the context menu upon double clicking on desktop.
In the new context menu, you could see the history of recently visited folders, browse favourite folders, etc.
It had both a free and paid version.

Could someone kindly help me find it?

Actually, never mind. It conflicts with mouse gestures. Not very useful.

Autohotkey worked great. I used this script.
Thanks for your help.

Is there any ready-made script for this?

I know the titlebar trick. I am specifically looking for a way to maximize/restore by double clicking a toolbar instead (I am using Hide Caption extension to hide the title bar. It works great except that you lose the double click option).

Any tips?

Is there anyway to make Firefox maximize/restore the window by double clicking any of the toolbars, such as the tabbar, bookmarkbar etc?

Thanks a lot Shades. This seems like a moderately easy solution. I was thinking of some digital box/media center you could set up with your tv; but I suppose using the tv as a second monitor gives you more options.

General Software Discussion / Watching web channels on your TV?
« on: March 11, 2010, 06:49 PM »

Currently we have a 'special tv channel' offered by our cable company, which is also available online from
I was wondering if there was some way I could stream the channel from jumptv to my tv, and cancel it from my cable provider.

I know it's more of a hardware related question; but any help would be much appreciated.

I was playing with DM2 and hid the icon from system tray, and now unsure how to bring up the setting menu.

Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot.

General Software Discussion / Re: Add item to Firefox context menu?

Thanks everyone, though none of the suggestions helped.

"Context Bookmarks" addon looked great, but it wouldn't let you have one or two individual bookmarks in your context menu; rather it just creates a submenu of your entire bookmark collection. This actually increases the number of clicks compared to accessing your bookmark in the default method.

"All Customized Links" seemed like it would do the job, but as Curt mentioned, it's not updated anymore. I could 'force install' it using the Nighly Tester Tool, but do not like the idea that all my bookmarks would be 'remotely hosted' with them.

Thanks again.

General Software Discussion / Add item to Firefox context menu?
« on: January 22, 2010, 02:33 PM »

Is there any way to add custom items (such as a bookmark link) to Firefox's context menu?
I know you can edit the existing items in the menu and organize them using Menu Editor, but I don't seem to find a way to add new items.

Any help is appreciated.

There is a very easy way to do this.
1. First save all the names on a notepad file.
2. Open a new document in Microsoft Excel (or any other spreadsheet software).
3. Select Import "data", and import the notepad file.
4. You can then configure how the data should be imported into the worksheet. If you choose by space or tab, then it will put the words of each line in separate columns.
5. Simply cut the last column and bring it to the front.
6. Now select the entire file list and press ctrl+c. Paste it into a new notepad document.
7. You might notice large gaps between the words. Copy the large gap. Click ctrl+h. Paste it in, and replace with regular one-letter width space.

Hope that works.

General Software Discussion / How to hide systemtray icons?
« on: January 08, 2010, 01:24 PM »
What's the best way to hide system tray icons forever? Or hide/place them in a way that they don't keep taking up horizontal space?
I am using xp. The default hiding feature is nice, but once in a while when you do need to unhide the icons to see them all, it just takes up quite a bit of you taskbar space.

Any suggestions?

Is there a freeware alternative to WinTopMost, which disables the close button of a selected program, or when left-clicked it minimizes to taskbar/systemtray?

Note, i am not looking for a "always on top" software.

Thanks Ampa.
That worked great.

Aviary Raven works great.

MP3DirectCut does this -
I tried using it, but not sure how it does what i am looking for.
I can't seem to specify multiple beginning and end points.
Could you help?
