Find And Run Robot / Using FARR with custom Opera (9b2) searches
« on: June 07, 2006, 06:19 PM »
Hi, I am trying to figure out how to "send" opera searches from FARR, that is be able to type something like:

www g search-term

And have it open opera up in google looking for "search-term" (though i have a bunch of others, not just google). It seems kind of redundant to put in all the searches i use in opera into FARR as well, when it would be much easier to just be able to type something out in FARR and have it use opera's search terms. I am sure this is possible but i just haven't been able to figure out how.  Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers

Find And Run Robot / FaRR running slowly?
« on: March 08, 2006, 02:48 PM »
Hi, i am *loving* FaRR (and trying to figure out aliases etc, save that for another post) but it *seems* to be running slowly on my computer (mobile P4 2.6 +512mem, not a speed demon but not a slug either). I get as much as a 2 second delay from the time i press the trigger key and when it shows up, thats slow right? I am using the itunes/mac skin and the "use helper tray" is disabled. I can speed it up by opening the windows task manager and setting the FaRR process to real-time priority but i shouldn't have to do that right? Is there anything else i can do to speed it up? (if not, do you happen to know how to permanently set a app to run with a higher process priority?)

Cheers
