Looks interesting. Is it possible to use completely offline, without relying on their servers?  I see there is a desktop app.

Not yet, no. It's a planned feature, however. The iOS app is in beta, and an Android app is coming, too (there's a workaround currently, which makes the website work more or less like an app, including ability to share from Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

I've been using Walling for about a week and I think I'm sold! It seems to fit with how I'd like a note taking app to work, just throw everything at it and organize a little bit later. KeePass is minimizing BEFORE CHS sees the new clip... That's a really tricky situation, since CHS thinks another app put the text on the clipboard..

Would it be possible to ignore new clips whenever KeePass is the active window? Or would that be too hackish, after all there might be plenty of reasons to use CHS with KeePass, for new entries, edited entries, etc. I dunno.. not a coder :p

I will note that for 99% of cases, this minimize on copy situation will not be relevant, so CHS will be able to ignore apps properly.

I guess that minimizing stuff was a relevant bit of info... To be honest I haven't been too bothered with having to check that option in KeePass, it's not like it makes any practical difference. I can see why you'd want to iron out even small issues like this, though.

Same issue in latest beta (2.43.2).

Steps:
Uncheck "Use 'Clipboard Viewer Ignore' clipboard format (not recommended)" in KeePass.

Doubleclick some entry (KeePass is set to minimize, which activates the next window, in this case Vivaldi).

CHS-window shows content of clipboard.

I was having the same problem, but changing an option in KeePass fixed it (or worked around it):
I needed to tick the option "Use 'Clipboard Viewer Ignore' clipboard format (not recommended)".

For some reason, if this option is unticked, the password is stored in CHS but listed as the result of another process (seemingly the process that is activated when the KeePass window is minimized).

I like the idea of blog posts from multiple users! There are so many interesting and helpful posts in this forum from a number of users, so I'm sure there would be plenty of great blog articles.

I like RightNote, it just wasn't the ... ahem.. right note for me. Own a license and I used it for a while, but I just prefer how I can write notes anywhere on OneNotes pages and also the syncing abilities with my Android phone and certain notebooks for work purposes. It just works.

OneNote for pretty much everything. For the rest I use a notebook and a pen

edit: Scrivener for a few things, but mostly for writing longer articles.

Researchers have disclosed a serious weakness in the WPA2 protocol that allows attackers within range of vulnerable device or access point to intercept passwords, e-mails, and other data presumed to be encrypted, and in some cases, to inject ransomware or other malicious content into a website a client is visiting.

We discovered serious weaknesses in WPA2, a protocol that secures all modern protected Wi-Fi networks. An attacker within range of a victim can exploit these weaknesses using key reinstallation attacks (KRACKs). Concretely, attackers can use this novel attack technique to read information that was previously assumed to be safely encrypted.   This can be abused to steal sensitive information such as credit card numbers, passwords, chat messages, emails, photos, and so on. The attack works against all modern protected Wi-Fi networks. Depending on the network configuration, it is also possible to inject and manipulate data. For example, an attacker might be able to inject ransomware or other malware into websites.

The weaknesses are in the Wi-Fi standard itself, and not in individual products or implementations. Therefore, any correct implementation of WPA2 is likely affected. To prevent the attack, users must update affected products as soon as security updates become available. Note that if your device supports Wi-Fi, it is most likely affected. During our initial research, we discovered ourselves that Android, Linux, Apple, Windows, OpenBSD, MediaTek, Linksys, and others, are all affected by some variant of the attacks. For more information about specific products, consult the database of CERT/CC, or contact your vendor.

The research behind the attack will be presented at the Computer and Communications Security (CCS) conference, and at the Black Hat Europe conference. Our detailed research paper can already be downloaded.

Worked like a charm! And to my surprise the drive still works. I backed it up and can take a nostalgic look at my 2004 computer. Apparently I had gathered quite the collection of digital mess already...

I took another look at the drive, and it's IDE, so looks like I need a dock with that capability. Sharkoon does seem like the way to go. Now I just hope the drive isn't completely dead... Come to think of it, I've got an old WD MyBook that doesn't start, so I might be able to get the drive out from that as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, I knew I could count on the good old DonationCoder forum!

edit: I ordered the Sharkoon DriveLink Combo USB 3.0 - https://www.sharkoon...m/product/1686/13760 Not as elegant as the dock solutions, but this was cheaper and it's something that'll probably stay in a drawer and be called upon only when needed.
