It hides the ribbon, not the bar IIRC?

2027
I went away from MS Office after Office 2003 when seeing the first screenshots of the ribbon bar. Proudly using OpenOffice.org, and while it has its own rough edges, it is still free.  :-*
(I would really like to legally own a license for SoftMaker Office, but as I already do all my office stuff with OO.org, I still need a good reason for paying the price, although it seems to be well worth it.)

Office 2010 might be a mighty, well-integrated office suite for us "recent Windows" users. But it totally lacks unique advantages. (There is not even a way to hide that crappy bar! And the "oh well, let's do a ribbon UI" attitude seems to me like a virus, yesterday I found a simple text editor (!) with these bars... geez.)

Indeed, no contents, but that a new version is out. Enough for me, at least. :)

Hmm, mail notification about XY updates is already done via the beta forums.  :)

The GPL is too restrictive.  :D

A CC-licensed license?
(Hmm, I still prefer the WTFPL.)

Except the databases, obviously. Web-sync without storing something in the web is ridiculous.

Yes, I've been playing with it for a while now before considering to use it legally. In fact, it is nice but has some rough edges left to explore. I guess most "missing" things can be handled with scripting, so I won't complain. (The scripting engine is great at least.)

Spending some more time these days. Thank you for your wishes.  ;D 8)

TC? Never.  ;D
Too ugly, too less integration with Windows Explorer. Having to install proprietary plug-ins for functions already implemented as Explorer extensions is a no-go. (Plus, there are so many free TC clones out there...)

I think four third-party FMs are enough for now. Although I only use two of them actively, x² and FAR...
OK, getting a bit OT here. I'll stop it.

2036
Well, I knew them all AFAICS. Anyway, I found out that there's no need to know it anyway...

OK, now I got two file manager licenses.  :D

I don't actually have any clue about who made it, lol.

2038
Yep, "out".  :D

Does anyone here have a clue how to register a service in Fx4? They somehow broke API compliance, so ...

But I actually like the new Firefox. It only lacks a button to remove that ugly app button, so I had to do it manually.
("Tabs on top" was the first thing I disabled.)

The day they made it commercial was the day they lost me as a user. It was great, but not worth a cent.

Politics (noun) - Poly from Latin, meaning "many"
Nope, it's Greek.

Government Reform, if not already in the list of oxymorons, is my candidate.
Something with "morons" is my first thought, too, when thinking about the U.S. politics.

De nada.  8)
Just stumbled upon it and thought it could be a valid alternative.

Users speaking German might also want to try Expicula which looks promising indeed.  :)

2045
I wouldn't let you either.  :D

ac'tivAid has an extension ("MultiClipboard") which does that.

In case nobody noticed the latest release of the world's best file manager  :)
Of course I have!

I am a Windows and Debian Linux user. Both of them have their own advantages. But I don't really get what's with Mac OS X. The user interface? Not really.

2049
Maybe it would be worth the effort to give the alternatives a try.  8)

Except 2), x² provides the same values.  8)
(I'm sure there are a lot of explorer extensions which add that functionality anyway.)

I would probably use DO, too, but, besides its memory consumption and the GUI (somehow it all feels too big for me), it is simply too expensive, so I'll gladly stick with my x² lifetime license. (Although XY is becoming better with every release, but one is enough for me.)
