The script above is what your looking for. The script you posted about is an outdated script hosted only as a reference for future coders. I actually asked for this script to be made and Jeff was kind enough to do it.

Was the Classic Clipboard program freeware? The new o ne has limited uses.

FWIW, I moved to RightNote (link here)

Did you end up purchasing it or stay with the free version?

Downloaded and did a quick run through. It is time for some sleep so will look at it more tomorrow. Looks alot like treepad. Have you tried that and how does RightNote compare.

Installed around ten months back.

No MS office installed. I have not had a need for it since I graduated from college.

And yes the system has been cleaned before.

Found three orphans at 78MB in total.

Well damn. I live an hour away and did not even know GenCon was happening.

General Software Discussion / Kodak AIO Printer
« on: July 05, 2019, 02:57 PM »
I have spent hours trying to track down how to get the software installed on a Windows 10 machine. Anyone here have any luck in doing so?

WIN10 installs something so that I can read the card that's installed and print but I can't install the AIO software driver so that I can access the scanner from the computer.

Interesting but it seems that there should be a simple legal way to amend this. IE resubmit the copyrights in their entirety, and the actual holder/creator gets first rights to copyright them within a certain time frame.

I was using a TreePad for this type of documenting what I was doing daily at a retail shop. Was to remember who came in and what times. What we discussed and when items were shipped.

This is something I wish I knew about when I was working that job. This would have been the best solution for me then.

At least I now know about it and can have a possible use for it later as a nurse.

So far it is running well. Tested a random file at work and will try more once I am home.

You have a point on the naming. Possible a check box next to name to do this. And this would be only for the actual name in the first box. With maybe a dropdown box on words not to capitalize.

E.G. a, an, the, or..... Unless it is the first word.

As an added idea if it is easy enough to implement.

Can't see any of the problem characters. Also would it be possible to default the naming to capitalizing? Just the actual name not the other listings.

Apologies, got a bit side-tracked with work.  I have the basics mostly finished and should have something to share this weekend.

Perfectly understandable. Was just curious since you said you almost had it all done. I use myself as an example in that I get things ready and I am 95% there but then get distracted and truly forget about that project. Six months later a person ask me about it and takes me two minutes to finish.

So I understand.

Yes. Are there options to be able to add or remove things in the drop down menues?

Thanks but that is not what I am looking for. I appreciate you taking the time to post this but overall this does not come close to my needs as it only tried to identify the resolution of a given file. I am looking to deal with the entire name of a file.

Post New Requests Here / I work with classics movie files
« on: May 11, 2019, 09:17 AM »
Background:
I am a member of a forum where we have access to many old movies. Many will never be released by the companies that hold the rights to them. Most are recorded on VHS tapes from the 80's and probably will never see the light of day again if we loose them.

Now for the request:
I would like to be able to get some conformity to the naming of the files. So would need something that I could open, go to the file in question, click on it, and then be able to manipulate the name.

Here is a general name by scene standards that I wish to imitate.

Modern.Times.1936.REMASTERED.720p.BluRay.x264-SADPANDA

1) Box to write name
2) Box to write year
3) Box to write misc
4) Drop down to give encoding size
5) Drop down box to give rip type
6) Drop down box to give encoding codec

Would it be simpler to have an INI file? E.G. Ten generic listings and how you set up the INI file it could either be a box to write in or a drop down selection? If something is not selected or written to then it does not add to the name. Standard naming has a period instead of spaces through the entire name.

1) Left blank so I would be able to write in it
2) Left blank so I would be able to write in it
3) -- so programs knows to look at the INI file and get drop down options

INI file might look something like this? Or just each new line below a number is an option.
1:
2:
3: --
3a: SD
3b: 480P
3c: 576P
3d: 720P
3e: 1080P
4: --
5: --
6: --
7: --
8: --
9: --
10:

Once done possibly make a NFO file with the name so information about it can be given? Possible check box to create one and another to open after creating.
Maybe an option to create a folder with the new name and move file and create NFO into it.

Being very descriptive so you get a real idea what I am asking up front. To me this seems a big ask but I am not sure how easy/hard it would be to program something along these lines.

After thought, this is not really needed in the program but would be a nice overall add. The ability to add names to given spots. E.G. a faded name that vanishes once you type in that box or use a drop down menu.

1: {Movie Name}
2: {Movie Year}
3: -- {Resolution}
3a: SD
3b: 480P
3c: 576P
3d: 720P
3e: 1080P
4: -- {Riptype}
4a: VHSRip
4b: UnkownRip
5: -- {Encoding Codec}
5a: DivX3
5b: DivX4
5c: DivX5
5d: Xvid
6: --
7: --
8: --

All you whiners. Just do it and keep it to yourself. No one really cares.

For instance no one cares that I am sticking with FF.

Still, an alternative if you already run (x)Monkey with userscripts already.

Kinda how I feel since I use a Monkey clone as well. You should make one for FF as there are many people who do not use scripts.

Wow. Six Million collected. Not bad.

Tried it after you mentioned it in another thread.

Working well within the idea frame I had.

One question. Is there a max size that a bundle can be. Already hitting 500KB and there is no end in site for how large I might take it. So how large can it go and will there be a slow down once it gets to a certain size. Should I be making multiple bundles to share the load or does this matter?

I just cant see who would be willing to store all that kind of data for others to look at. I would imagine that it would be obsoleted fairly fast.

Simpler idea is find a way to post links you visited.

General Software Discussion / Re: Qucik Pop Menu for pasting text
« on: April 04, 2019, 02:11 PM »
Have you looked at PowerPro?  It's an amazing program, similar to AHK, but has it's own GUI system.  It can easily create for you popup menus that will paste snippets, and is fully customizable to do just about anything you want.

Used PP for years, years ago. Helped a great deal with working as a moderator. While it is a great program setting up snippets in it is time consuming. I would have to do paste snippets as I have 20-40 lines to be pasted at a time.

Again, perhaps Lintalist - you can assign a hotkey OR hotstring OR search for the item you need :)

Or if you are looking for a clipboard tool with templates to store perhaps these managers will work for you https://github.com/a...y/#scripts-clipboard

I seen it here before but did not think it would do the job. Installed it and so far seems like something I can work with. Will put it through some testing tonight.

Or just use autohotkey's own hottext command

Thanks but I already use the Autocorrect.ahk that is on site. Love it and modify it to my needs but it is not possible to use it for what I need. I need to paste a page of text with new line returns.

Maybe you should look for threads on "snippets," like this one?  best code snippet tool that works with any program

Or maybe TypeItIn?  No longer free, but the (old) last free version is Last Freeware Version Page 5

Another program, "Ka Type In," has gone from the normal Web, the author's site is up for sale.  I retrieved the installer from the Wayback Machine and attach it here.  But maybe it's too old.   :-\

I have looked in that thread and so far nothing to my liking.

TypeItIn I am currently using for my general pasting and I like it a lot but from what I am doing it will not grow well in the long run. I plan on keeping it around for my smaller snippet pastings though.

General Software Discussion / Qucik Pop Menu for pasting text
« on: April 02, 2019, 09:54 PM »
Quick Pop Menu is something I found on this site while reading others comments.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a simple text pasting program that has a similar setup as QPM? Currently using 'Clippings' on FF and while that works it is limited to just FF.

I have seen other recently threads about text expanders and looked at them but many are just way to 'heavy' in use. Just looking for a simple hotkey menu setup that I can expand to my hearts content. What I would tend to use them for is large pasting of text that could be hundreds if not thousands of characters at a time.
