That was my question as well: if the users are helping digitize books (meaning the service doesn't know the correct answer), how does it stop spam?

Here is a fun video using tiny clips of Disney films to illustrate and explain fair use and copyright. It's one of the best examples of Fair Use for educational purposes I have ever seen.

That's a great video.  ;D

It's ironic that Disney, who stole many of their classic stories from literature and fairy tales, are now so aggressive in protecting their "copyright".
